Default Turbo Grafx 16, worth the price??

I was thinking about picking one up just so I can finally challenge my bro in the first street fighter. He never played it but thinks he could beat me.

On eBay they go for around 100 shipped and the game is another 40-50 bux. Is it worth it or just got MAME?

100 shipped? no way, if you just get the system with no hook ups (just use ones from other systems) and a controller, its only like 20-30 shipped. Hook ups and a game is usualy 30-40 shipped dependig on the game. Also if you dont mind not having the cardboard boxes its usualy 15-20 shipped for most games. Card only expect a bit cheaper.

Yeah, dude, check ebay...it would have told you flat out. That's incredibly overpriced, unless it comes with 2 lesbian hookers.

Hmmm. Those prices are off eBay. I guess the auctions I was watching had bid wars going on then.

There have been a few wars, but it looks like they came with a Duo or some decent games.

I see a boxed one ended at $36.

A bare system (no cords or controllers) no sale at $10

    A loose one with 4 games $36

    Loose with 5 games $45

Loose with 10 games & some boxes $54

    System with 9 games $32

    System with 3 games $39

    System with hook-ups $21

And a complete Buy It Now with hook-ups $15!

$100 is way too much unless it comes with a bunch of games or one of the games is a rare one.

It's a great system! Lurk, bid, win, pay, wait, and then enjoy!

Thanks for indulging my gaming habit when I was young, Dad. You were the best. I miss you. ~David Barnes 1926-2007~

I happen to have an extra TG16 for sale. I alos have one that is missing something. I can't remember what maybe a power cord. PM me if interested. I can definitely do better than $100 shipped.

    Thanks

We are talking about the CD system here though folks, not a bare console... $100 is probably reasonable. Fighting Street is a CD game.

he should have said that instead of just calling it a TG16
