    Suikoden III - very common
    DarkCloud 2 - common
Katamari Damacy (I think the 2nd will be common) - common
.hack series (I don't have 4 though...) - very common
    Kessen II - common
    Silpheed - common
    Gungriffon Blaze - common
Unlimited Saga - uncommon, but it sucks hardcore....I can't imagine it going up in value
Space Channel 5 Special Edition - common
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance - extremely common
Ace Combat 4 - extremely common (GH release)
Xenosaga Ep 1 (Worth much more if they release the whole series) - extremely common (also GH)

La Pucelle Tactics - common....it didn't sell well at all, and can be found most anywhere for less than $20

    Castle Shikigami 2 - common
    Wild Arms 3 - common
Star Ocean: Till the end of time - very common
    Suikoden IV - very common
Taiko Drum Master w/ Drum - very common (though finding the box might get difficult)
Non GH Kingdom Hearts - still very common
    Technic Beat - common
    R-Type Final - extremely common
Driving Emotion Type-S - extremely common
It's a pretty rare thing for games to go UP in value beyond their launch price. VERY few games go beyond that. Of those you listed, the only one I see gaining value beyond that is Disgaea. Harder to get a hold of AND fun.

King's Field? Nah, I don't see it happening. None of the King's Field games are particularly valuable, not even the Japanese-only first King's Field. Most people just hate the series.

I actually expect the second Katamari to be less common than the first. The first sold very well on word of mouth and the low price tag. However, I think a lot of people who picked up the first will pass on the second because of the higher price tag and the fact that it's more of the same. Heck, I'm not picking up We Love Katamari just yet for that reason.

As for Star Ocean 3, it went Greatest Hits, so I don't think it'll ever be that valuable or uncommon. Which is good for me since I still don't have the US version. :P

I went over your list and found these games stand out as titles that might demand fair amouns of cash when PS2 collecting really gets into high gear.

Everblue 2, Sky Gunner, Monster Rancher 3, R-Type Final, Victorious Boxers and Shadow of Destiny are games that were crafted for niche audiences, and once collectors start snapping them up, they could very well be tough to find. They're all pretty common right now, but there is that possibility down the road.

The second .hack game is the only uncommon one, as far as I can tell. Might be a regional thing, but I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

Disgaea is another case of Suikoden II. Not rare but in demand.

Gitaroo Man, on the other hand is confirmed as HTF and does command some cash.

Ace Combat 5's Flight Stick bundle may garner something down the road, but only for completist collectors or someone who wants a flight stick. If the flight stick comes out on it's own, it won't be worth a lot.

Document of MGS is a toughie to gauge. It's not really a GAME, but is identified in Sony's catalogue system. I'm not too keen on how many are out there, but I'd have to lean towards the idea that completists may want it, but no one really cares about it since it's not playable.
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

at least one of the .hack games is bound to be rare

Maybe Under the skin or Finny the fish but I kinda doubt it

I haven't seen a lot of copies of Magic Pengel, Graffiti Kingdom, RPG maker 2 & 3 either and think they'll be sought since they're original creation tools

i think alot of whats hard to find depends on where you live...

i see gitaroo man used here alot and the same with the gundam games, what i had a hard time finding was dot hack 3 and 4 and i acually had to travel to portland to get 4

i find the dynasty warriors...atleast the newer ones harder to find than other games, samurai warriors i managed to get for $15 a few months ago new and its still a $40 game and its also harder to find

Ribbit King was next to impossible for me to find for the PS2. I'll admit the gamecube version is easier to find and better, though.

Very quirky, fun game, though. I'd like to see more love for Ribbit King.

The original Guilty Gear X I think is becoming difficult to find in many (not all) areas I live in the US and I havent seen a copy ANYWHERE for over a year now.

Also what about Galerians:ASH? is it difficult to find or a low print-run game?

Yeah, I never see that one anywhere either. GG X2 is common as dirt though.

The titles I rarely see in the UK...

    Ephemeral Fantastia
Polaroid Pete (NEVER seen a copy)
    International Track and Field
    ICO [of course]
Dastardly & Mutley in Wacky Races
    XII Stag
    Pacman World 2
    Dark Cloud

At one point Gitaroo Man was being sold off in a lot of places very cheap, as was Rez. Rez still doesn't seem particularly hard to find in the UK.

Out of interest. Does anyone know how well Fantavision sold? It's cheap as hell to buy but a great game.

Just another to throw out there:

    Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends

I haven't seen more than two copies of it since it was released.

Though as far as print runs go thats less than that ncaa college basketball game for gamecube even (though not by much) That's the kinda print-run you'd expect to see back on the turbo grafx.
I presume you mean US version here of Dual Hearts?

If so, you'd be right about the "easy to find online" part... there's six copies currently on eBay.

As for NCAA Basketball 2k3, "official" figures put that at about 6,000 sales before Sega pulled it.

Hehehehe I love it when Oob takes my comments to note.

I actually just found a copy of that when I hit up a TRU last week looking for We <3 Katamari and got it cheaper thanks to the green tage sale.

IMO rare/hard to find PS2 games
    AeroElite Combat Academy
    Bloody Roar 3 and 4
DDR Max 2 and DDR Extreme Pad/game Bundle kits.
    Disaster Report
    Disney Golf
    Dogs Life
    Dynasty Tactics
    Dynasty Tactics 2
    Dynasty Warriors 3: Xtreme Legends
Dynasty Warriors 4: Xtreme Legends (and to a lesser extent DW4:Empires)
    Ephemeral Fantasia
    Escape from Monkey Island
    Everblue 2
    Fatal Frame 1/2
    Flipnic: Ultimate Pinball
    G1 Jockey 3
    Gallop Racers 2001/2003/2004
    Gitarro Man
Gradius III/IV and giving it some time Gradius V will be hard to get too
    Graffitti Kingdom
    King Of Fighters 00/01
    King Of Fighters: Maximum Impact
    King Of Fighters 02/03
    Klonoa 2
Lupin The 3rd: Treasure of the Sorcer King
Mark Of Kri (not OMG rare, but far from easy to get)
    Marvel Vs Capcom 2
    Metal Slug 4/5
    Onimusha: Blade Warriors
    R.A.D. Robot Alchamaic Drive
    Rez
    Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends
    Seven Samurai 20XX
    Shadow Hearts
    Shadow Of Destiny
    Sky Gunner
    Soccer America: International Cup
    Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force
    Technic Beat
    Virtual On: Marz
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

I could see RPG Maker 3, Magic Pengel, and Grafitti Kingdom becoming rare down the line. I've got KoF 00/01, Lupin the Third: Legend of the Sorcerer King, Rez, Mad Maestro, FD 18, Klonoa 2, Gitaroon Man, and non-GH Kingdom Hearts. Of course, KH's casing was torn up by the security sticker, and I haven't had any luck replacing that in the two years that I've owned it. I still need to get Mr. Mosquito. I've always wanted to play it, but it's slipped through my fingers thus far.

I've only seen Winback: Covert Ops once. Anyone know anything about this? Also, some of the special disks that could complete a series (Xenosaga EP 1 movie disk) I could see being sought after.

I recently stumbled on a pile of these selling for $10 brand new. Next week I'll take a look and see if they're still available.

Again, its probably a regional thing, but I very much disagree with these:

Just out of curiousity, has anyone else been seeing Alien Vs. Predator? I've only seen it once on ebay and never in a store around here. (Of course, it probably has popped up on ebay again since I last saw it, but I didn't even know it even existed before then.)

I see Disaster Report and Dog's Life all over the place out here. Shadow of Destiny is fairly common as well.

    Possibly add Futurama and Obscure?
