It looks like there is some hope. If this is true then the DS will be the greatest portable ever!!

The Earthbound fanboyism of this board is only equal to its Dreamcast population.

And while I'm at it...
HAIL EARTHBOUND!
Although, truth be told the reason I lost a TON of trust in Nintendo was due to the Earthbound fiasco with the N64. Now that I know that it is supposed to be coming out for the DS, I will definitely NOT be purchasing a DS until it is, in fact, released.

Hail Earthbound, Hail Mother 3, Hail DS!
Hail Dreamcast too!
Please please please release this!
Ummm, are the guys on the last page of that thread now saying it is not an EB game?

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
Finally, A sequel to Earthbound or at least another one in the series that will be done. There is a TBA for mother 3 for the GBA but I think that will be like mother 3 for the N64, Delay until death of the system. I will buy a DS for this, and I will learn japanese just so I can enjoy the story if it never makes it to the states.

It looks like a COOL RPG.
Granted, I would like to see a new "Mother" game... But I'm cool with any interesting game.

Hmph.
Mother 3 is still coming. Probably to the DS. Probably from Brownie Brown.
Zelda is NOT an RPG.
Props to me for picking up the japanese version of the game when i spent a business trip in japan two years ago.
i don't have high hopes for a stateside release, but if it happens or not I know I'll own a JP copy.

I think the possibility of Nintendo bringing it out over here would actually be very high. The slow price increase of the original game over the past five years has definitely not been ignored by them, and Earthbound is about the only RPG outside of Paper Mario that Nintendo can make an exclusive.Originally Posted by hezeuschrist

I still think that Mother 1 + 2 would have sold well enough to bother translating it, but it never made it over anyways. I figured the time of us getting screwed out of RPG's ended in the mid ninties, but this was the one I always knew would have done well, but they didn't bother.
If they didn't bother with that, I doubt they would with any future releases.
Do you have evidence of this?Originally Posted by goatdan
