Any one played this game? I saw it at GameStop the other day, and didn't know anything about it. Has anyone played it? Is it any good?

Apart from IGN's review, I know nothing! Looks like this game can sit on the shelves for a little while longer, me thinks!
if this game came out at a true bargain price then I would definitely pick it up. could be fun for a while
We saw this the other day and laughed at the cover. That is all.
Zelda is NOT an RPG.
I like hwo they were able to build upon the simple "bop em on the head" mechanic by adding different game modes, but I wont see myself buying this until its $5 in the bargain bin, especialy because I would be imbarassed to buy the game from its box art alone.
I didn't buy this game, but I've played it (you can probably guess how ... ). B-O-R-I-N-G. It was interesting for a couple of minutes. Can't imagine spending a dime on it, even for a Whac-A-Mole fan (which I consider myself).
Yeah, I'm rather tempted to get it, but at $30 I'm having an easy time of resisting temptation. This might end up being slightly rare, along with the GBA version, since it doesn't exactly look like a very big release. I think it's by Activision, isn't it? Weird.
I opened it up @ work... BOY did it suck.
I love <3 whack a mole at the fairs and whatnot, I pride myself on my whack a mole skill, but the ds game sucks.
The screen isn't sensitve enough to take my jabs, and I missed so many moles
NOT WORTH A BUY AT $30 like everyone said-
For $15 I'd pick it up for the cover
(mole w/ man breasts )
This is truly a kids title. It is what it seems to be. Actually my nephew and niece had a better time when I took them to the arcade and they played the real whack a mole, skee ball, air hockey, etc. etc. Bargain bin only. Even for the pack rats.
This feels more like a homebrew title to me...

It is. When I saw that, I immeitiatly though "How'd That Happen". And yeah this might be a future rarity base, I'm definatly picking it up when hits 5$ or lower. I know theres a Whach A Mole fanbase but theres not enough for a DS game.Originally Posted by davidbrit2
Definitely. Or a Flash game (and not an addicting Flash game such as ZooKeeper).Originally Posted by poloplayr
Does the DS have the same cover as the GBA version?
I ask because it seems to be popular right now -- not just DS/GBA, but also an electronic version by MB, a plug 'n play version by MB and a TV game cartridge version by Toyquest (can't find a package picture of this one though). I'm thinking someone actually got a license, and hence so much mole-whac'ing going on right now...

Got any obscure game stuff?
I picked this up last weekend at Circuit City for $16. I'm actually having fun with it.
Now don't get me wrong, there is no way this was ever a $30 game as we really are talking about a well padded mini-game.
I like the different types of moles and while it doesn't always help, the developers did try to mix up the play mechanic here and there.
As for the sensitivity of the touch screen, I have no complaint. The lightest tap is enough to 'whac' any mole(note: in later levels some moles require multiple whacs). If it seems that your whacs arn't registering, it is probably because you are too slow. Once a mole begins to desend into it's hole, you cannot score any points.
The complaints that do exist, mostly relate to a lack of polish. You would never mistake this game for a 1st party Nintendo release. The scoring & continue systems are poorly implemented and what little is included beyond the main game itself for the most part forgetable. The so called puzzle mode, closely resembles elements of the main 'arcade' mode, unfortunately the levels that inspire the puzzle play mechanic are, in general, the most aggravating levels found in the game.
Has anyony tried the GBA version? I really can't imagine that it is even playable without a stylus. It must be impossible. x_x

i actually had high hopes for this. WOW! What a great idea for the ds and the stylus!
:bitter-rage:
If they'd packaged it with a hammer stylus it might be less lame.
I guess "Tap-a-Mole" would have been more accurate, but (1) it sounds a bit lame, and (2) it could be mistaken as some kind of sexual euphemism.Originally Posted by kamino

How about a new game about masturbation called whac a dick?Originally Posted by slapdash
IT might work well with the stylus.
