Well it came with every boxed Super Gameboy if I'm not mistaken, that's why the package was oversized. It was also sent out to Nintendo Power subscribers in a marketing attempt, because I have two of them kicking around here.
I would rate it as common as a Nintendo Power mag published around the same time.
okay, thanks!
yeah, it's pretty common, i snagged one on ebay for $4 shipped not too long ago.

Not every boxed Super Game Boy...I got one almost immediately upon release, and it was boxed similar to a SNES game, just a bit taller. The guide wouldn't fit in a box that size, but I know it was later reissued in a larger box.Originally Posted by Bratwurst
Nintendo Power sent copies of the guide with the magazine for sure, that's where I got mine.
I got my SGB on release day, it did not have the book encluded. It was also given out to some Nintendo Power subscribers as well as sold through Nintendo themselves. Pretty common...I have two of them and I used to see them everywhere.
I could be wrong, but I think they were even sold at Wal-Mart.
