Default Has anyone picked up the new Fable The Lost Chapters?

If anyone is having a hard time looking for this, here's probably one reason why...it was released in a Platinum Hits case.

Aside from that, what is the major differences between the original and "Lost Chapters"

Plus, for those who have not played Fable, is this okay to buy? or will you need to play the original first?
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

If you care to take the time, feel free to read my full review on the PC version:

    Short answers:
Differences = added content, mostly after the original game ended.

Don't need to have played the original, in fact, I recommend just playing this version if you've not played the original. TLC is just like the original save for added content and a few minor gameplay tweaks. TLC isn't an add-on or sequel, think of it as a director's cut.

Much like they did to Morrowind 3 pretty much?

Not quite. The expansions for Morrowind were add-on's. From what I have heard, this is just a enhanced version of Fable.

Well, this is unlike Morrowind in that it sucks. A lot.

Your saves from the original Fable do NOT transfer to the Lost Chapters, as I would have gladly put down $20 for the rest of the game, but theres no way in hell I'm going through everything again. I mean, it's really not that long of a game (the original) but I don't have any reason to do it again so shortly after finishing the original, or ever for that matter.

And yes, it's definitely worth $20 to play the Lost Chapters if you've never played the original, and i would suggest playing the lost chapters instead.

Yeah I didnt think Fable was that great. All the hype before it released led me to believe it was more... expansive.

It wound up just being a trail wandering game blah.

Wait wait wait. Did I miss something here? Fable Lost Chapters has been released for the XBox?! I thought it was only available for the PC right now.

Anybody ever play "Sword of the Berserk: Gut's Rage" on Dreamcast?

I don't know why but when I think of Fable I always think of that game and how much more fun it was.

Yes, this is an attempt at a thread jack. :P

Yeah, it was released strictly as a plat hits for xbox. Good news is that its price point is only $20.

There's a reason it's been hard to find; The SKU for it is the exact same as Fable 1. In other words, your store will have to wait for its re-stock shipment for it to receieve the Lost Chapters version. I only know of two stores that got any, and they each got two copies.

Hopefully this will pick up before long.

Rats, I wish I hadn't picked up Fable and played it last summer, so that I could have gotten this one instead. I enjoyed it, but it was way, way, way too short and easy.

I would haft to agree it's Very short. I enjoyed it quite alot during the time I was playing it. But when I got to the point I new it was going to end I just put it away. I haven't played it since.

Is there anyway to tell if it's the lost chapters version? does it say "Lost Chapters" on the cover? or something to that effect.

Yeah, it'll say Lost Chapters on it. My review link above has a shot of the PC box cover; I assume that the Xbox would be similar.
