Default places to buy Neo Geo CD games besides Ebay?

I'm looking for retailers selling Neo Geo CD games.. I'm trying to get a feel for what these titles are worth.. I don't have a price guide for.. well, anything Neo Geo.. Also Metal Slug may be rare for AES but I'm pretty sure from what i've seen today it isn't the rarest of the cd games.. what are the rare cd games?

Check the selling forums over at http://www.neo-geo.com , i've found some pretty good deals over there.

Not sure what's rare for the cd system though.

    Here's a couple other links.

I didn't think the NEO GEO CD had copy protection. Can't you get every title in the Emualtion forum?

I could, but this is a system I want originals.. and actually there is copy protection on many neo geo cd games, though the iso images are "cracked" to work on the console. I've already tried Metal Slug 2 on the cdz and I'm happy with the load times.. they are not as bad as I was led to believe.. or maybe the 2x drive really helps.

It's like this.. Playstation games are so dirt common in the US a friend comes over and blows off a nice PS1 collection.. Same with pretty much any cd based console.. but when people see Neo Geo and the CD's (that are obviously all imported) it's a real conversation piece.. I don't mind paying $20 for something that is considered a oddity in the US, but I won't shell out $6.99 for something like Final Fantasy 8.. no way..

Actually, both Metal Slugs are fairly rare for the Neo Geo CD. Expect to pay at least $60-80 for Metal Slug 2 and $80-100+ for Metal Slug. The others never came for it.

Other rare games for the Neo Geo CD:

Iron Clad (rare shooter) - $200+
    Zintrick (Puzzle game) - $50+
    Breakers - $75+
    Twinkle Star Sprites - $50+

There are others but those are the best ones I can think of. Figure on the average game costing between $10-30, and most of the fighters are around that range. A lot of the shooters hit $40-60 as well, like Pulstar, ASO II, and Cyberlip.

Yep, that's it. You have to remember that there really aren't that many neo geo games, and the newer ones didn't get a cd release.

"This list is also far from complete so I will list the Neo CDs I know exist and will add newer ones once I have seen PROOF of it personally. "

It looks complete, but judging by this, there maybe a title or two missing.

One of the reasons why quite a few games never made it to CD form was due to the size of the game program. I believe that they had to cut out animation, movies sound to make some game small enough for the CD. Thus another reason why I prefer the Home Cart system. (CD games are sooooo much cheaper though)

    Have fun!

Iron Clad is hella hard to find for under $200. It's really rare.

That's the official count, Art of Fighting 3 and KOF 98 both have limited editions too but these SE are simply extra stuff in the packaging (wallpaper, T-shirt, special wood box set, etc), unlike KOF 96 Special Edition which have extra features in the game.

Courtesy of Oldergames.com (also the exhibitor at CGE), there'll be another Neo-Geo CD games coming, called Super Fighter, available on multiplatforms

    http://www.oldergames.com/v2/titles.shtml

so make the count to 98

One reason I don't bother with NGCD is most good games don't make it there, especially those made between 1995 and 97, like Blazing Star, Magical Drop 3, Kizuna Encounter.
