Does it have to be Tennis or Duck Hunt? I have a dual .VS board that used to house SMB & Pinball.
as far as i know vs duck hunt and tennis only have this ppu RC2C03B.
but if any other game has it that would be great.
its a big 40pin ic chip.
I should have what you are looking for. I have about 15 VS PCBs including Duck Hunt for sure and likely Tennis, but have very limited knowledge. Can you show me a picture of exactly which chips you would be needing?

this site has a few pics of the mod being done.
RP2C03B this is the number needed on the chip to work.
if you can help that would be great.
bump
any help to get this chip would be great.
RP2C03B
Why not scrounge up a Famicom titler. It already has the PPU you're looking for built in...
It has built in S-Video...and I hear it's very easy to mod to RGB.

do you have more info on this?
never heard of it.
Ok, well, the Famicom titler is a Famicom that was designed for subtitling videos...so...(Yeah, I know the concept of a device that titles video and play's Famicom games is pretty dumb.)
But basically...for the part we care about, it's a Famicom with an RGB PPU...but considering that I can't find any on eBay...they're probably fetching a few hundred now...so...that's probably not what you're looking for.
I just hate to see a perfectly good playchoice system chopped to bits.
Edit: I noticed that you linked to NFG...somebody over there will know plenty about it.

I've actually got a RGB PPU from a Vs. Duck Hunt set. The only problem is I don't have anyone to do the mod for me. Does anyone know who might? I'll pay, of course. Old thread, yes, I know. :-)
