    Default dvd burner stopped working!!

ok, i have an hp 300n burner that came with my dads computer (but now in mine). anyway...i bought an hp psc 1410v all in one printer, and hooked it up and installed it...and then out of nowhere something popped up and told me that my hp dvd burner had a firmware update available, and i went ahead just followed the prompts and did it...then i shot down my comp., then turned it on, and my drive wont read anything now...but its still recognized as being there.

could that update have been connected to putting a printer of the same brand in?

    please HELP!

There should be an option to roll back the firmware, but you have to search for it.

    Its actually "Roll back driver".

Under the control panel, click on system, hardware tab, device manager, and then right click on your drive, and the option should be in "properties".

thats the driver for the drive itself, not the firmware.

Shows what I know about computers--- not a whole lot.
