Today I got the regular junkmail and I noticed that in the Walmart ad they dedicated a page to the 360 (wich is not uncommon upon a systems launch) but they had not one thing advertised for the Xbox1 or Gamecube not one game not one new release etc.
All they had was the page on the 360 many advertisements for all the handhelds PSP,the various Gameboys and the Slimline PS2 wich stated underneath "limited quantities" and every game advertised was for the PS2 and 4 PC games THATS IT NOT ONE XBOX 1 GAME OR GAMECUBE GAME IN THE MIX wich is usually 2 or 3 at the very least.
The same went for circuit city and Toys R Us etc and I thought they dropped the Dreamcast quick damn I mean there are still LOTS of ppl that own the Xbox and Gamecube but it seems like the retailers (US anyway) are acting like the only current gen system that still exists is the PS2 I think that blows chunks for the owners of said systems.
Dont get me wrong Im sure they will advertise the release of Zelda for Gamecube whenever the hell that happens but damn I mean there are STILL games coming out for these other systems not JUST THE PS2, its bullshit that they dont show that these other systems still have games being released for them even if it is in much smaller numbers when compared to the Playstation 2.
Dont get me wrong Im not very surprised but I still think its bullshit and unbalanced advertising
