    Default Monkey butt

Ok so is it just me or does that game look like the entire top lable has been removed and stuck back on? I don't know a whole lot about NES carts but did any other game come in a yellow cart like that? Is it possible that someone switched some things out with an original Zelda game?
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!

Afaik no other NES game have this yellow color. I think it is the real deal. Since it was a testcart it probly got a rought threatment during the years.

No other released games did, but all test carts except for the NTF2 were yellow like this. I suppose it would be possible to gut a test cart and a regular Zelda cart and switch them, but it would be a lot of trouble changing the label smoothly, and probably not worth it since you would have to have a test cart of some sort to start with and most of them are basically the same value wise (with the exception of the R.O.B. Test Cart of which only one is known to exsist). Although, the Zelda is slightly rarer than the others I think.

Wether it was "worth it" or not, thats what it looks like to me. Its not "worth it" to cut the sides of a rare baseball card with scissors to give it shaper corners but people do it.

I have never seen a normal label looking like that. The case has obviously been opened as one side has the tab busted off. Even if its legit the price is way too high for a cart in that poor a shape.

I agree with you buyatari. It is amazing what some people will do to try to make a buck. I also think that the label looks a little fishy...mainly because of the large amount of peeling around the edges. It appears to have been peeled off. I have several test carts myself and I have never seen one in that bad of shape.

Before, I mentioned that it would be hard to change the label "smoothly," but it doesn't appear that this one was done so smoothly (if it was a switch)...so maybe not so hard x_x

That's why the Zelda Test Cart is always a nightmare. Why would you pay that much for a yellow case? There's not even any EPROMS inside, it's the SAME GAME, and you can peel the label, it is almost as bad as the Kizuna Enounter mess, why would anyone pay $10000+ for an insert and a sticker/manual when the cart is the same from Japan on an English system. WHYWHYWHY?

Maybe there was no label on the original yellow cart, and they thought this would make it worth more?

I think he meant no other released games. The yellow DH was also a test cart only given to repair centers.

I have games with the labels peeled off that don't look they're full of air bubbles. Unless the testers decided to "test" how well the cart would work underwater, it's fake.

Its not my auction but regardless you guys, there is such a thing as a yellow Zelda test cart, its completely documented as existing. The label here is just a little F'ed and a few here own ones with nice labels. And like Morbis says a yellow Duck Hunt exists.

erm I don't think anyone here is arguing a yellow Zelda test cart exists, we're just saying this label looks extremely fishy. That combined with the fact that it has probally been opened up due to the tab being broken off is really fishy.

and I'm aware of all that. but go calling it fake and thepeople who are seeing this for the first time ever will think all of them are counterfeit.

I notice it has a gold back battery label, do other test carts have that, if not then this is real, unless he swapped the back label too, or mabe its just a messed up label and there's nothing wrong? What would you do if you found it, put it on ebay and say you found this but think someone switched the label from a cart that's probably worth the same if not more? Ok

I can end this once and for all.

When a cart is that messed up does it really matter if its real or not? Who would want that?

Very good point buyatari...test cart or not, most of us have standards for the condition of the carts in our collections.
