64 for the location by me sounds like it would be easy to get one on launch day. Same I don't want one however.
Definitly usefull for those who much have one on tuesday.

Am I missing where to click on that?
sure stores are getting a very lmited number -- seems like an average of 40 per store in my area - lets say 30 stores - thats 1200 units ok so lets subtract 10 stores (gaming) that are sold out due to pre orders - 400 units
so that leaves 800 units close to my zip code - i think there is a good chance of finding one if your realy desperate
i remember when the GBA came out -- all the gameing stores were sold out due to pre orders - i walk in to a circuit city and boom they have many for sale - i have no doubt that if i realy wanted one on launch day id have one.

94, and 92 for the ones near me.
I'm not seeing anything either, just a bunch of game news reports. Glad to hear UT2K7 is in the works though, I was thinking the series would die or something.Originally Posted by CueWarrior

I find it hard to believe this system is going to sell out with this relatively high number of available systems. Between Best Buy and the other dozen popular electronic/game stores, there seems to be plenty to go around. Everyone is anxious about EB and Gamestop's allocation, but if big box stores like Best Buy are getting this many, how could one not find a 360 on launch day.
Mmmmmmmm, 54 pro and 18 core systems available right down the block from me. Might have to check out launch day.
Systems owned: 2600, 5200, Lynx, Jaguar w/CD, Commodore 64, NES, SNES, N64 w/DrV64, Gamecube, GB, GBA SP, Game.com, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Turbo Grafx 16, Game Gear, Master System, Genesis w/32X and CD, JVC X'Eye, Saturn, Dreamcast, Playstation, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii.
Ouch, 26 Pro and 10 Core at my store
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
Wow...we thought we were getting 20 at our store in Phoenix but apparently we're getting 64 total. Maybe they will let me pick one up there on launch day ;D. Yay store 251!
Hmm...from relooking at it, almost all stores in Southern AZ are getting about 60 each. Shouldn't be a problem finding one launch day at all if only BB chains are getting that much.
Ah, page 4.Originally Posted by Kejoriv

Yeah, I did, too. It's a news article, now on the second or third page back. (Go to "next" at the bottom once or twice.)Originally Posted by CueWarrior

Wow, this is a lot more than I thought it would be. I still remember when the Target and Best Buy near my house each got 20 PS2 systems on launch day. The same Best Buy store is getting 4X as many X360s. I still can't believe there are that many people who are going to plunk down $500+ to get a system, spare controller and a game or two. It reminds me of the PSP situation. Great system, but not exactly in the impulse buy price range.
Seems like the same problem as PS2's.
I recall having to get PS2 systems "secrectly" via UPS so as to avoid people finding out we only got a few in.

My nearest store is getting 54 total (40 pro, 14 core).
I've asked almost every store I've gone into, that doesn't take pre-orders, how many they're getting.
Target - 18 of each set
Best Buy - 30 each set. Both Stores.
Wal-Mart - The bitch had no idea what I was talking about. Seriously. So, I dunno. I'd guess no more than 25 each set.
CompUSA - 8 each, both stores.
Its starting to look pretty grim for all us hanging on with baited breath that didn't pre-order one.
The one I reserved will be the 3rd shipment, I've been told. So I may try and get to a Wal-Mart close to midnight on the 21st/22nd and see if I can snag one.
Thats why you hit the stores you didn't mention.Originally Posted by diskoboy
I work on the outskirts of Detroit. I garantee I can stroll into a Kmart down the street after work (2pm) and find a premium system. Seriously, who checks Kmart? I went into the one down the road from me and the kid there said that they were definitely my best bet. The day the PSP launched they sold none, and when Halo 2 launched they still had a case left by 6pm. I have a feeling if i make the stops on the way back from work that day I'll be dandy.
That is, if I don't pick one up at Midnight at Meijer.
I hope
Hmm...well, a few arrived on the truck tonight but I didn't open up the boxes and start nosing around since there was 5000 other peices of merchandise being pulled off the truck. The games should be arriving tomorrow via ups. Even though we're getting three times the systems mentioned previously, the managers are still hardcore locking out any employees from buying them.
The day of the launch they want freaking 5 tables set up with a different them to each. The store's really tying in the geek squad, trying to get lots of home installs and BS. Ugh, that company's tactics sicken me sometimes. It's all about making money though, so whatever. After I get off work that day around 2pm, I'll probably hit kmart like the person above me mentioned. Nobody goes in that store anyways.
