I dunno, but IMHO someone got a deal for $31. I would have bid that up higher had I seen it.

Give the shape, and how the base is smaller than where the NES cart input is - that looks to me like an NES to Famicom converter.

the seller said nothing plugs into the base, and no nes to fami converter i've ever seen has a cable coming out, it looks more likely to be a cart writer of some sort or something, but i could be completely wrong, thats just a guess.

Well it's an official Nintendo item (looks like it...notice the model number on the box?), so I'm confused...and why would an EEPROM dumper have the same exact 8 pin ribbon cable as the Gameboys on Demovisions?

Looks like a Crystal Mines - Color Dreams prototype (missing it's case) in a 72pin to 60pin converter to me. Someone got a bargain that's for sure.

    Ace.

    Ace.
This is simply a board from a color dreams game that the case that went to it got broken. I put a sticker over the EEprom on it so I wouldn't forget what it was, the sticker says Color Dreams, Crystal Mines, Production Board. (clever, yes?)

Sorry for bumping an old thread, but I was just informed of this being here heh. I did purchase the set, though I haveny had much time to play around with it.

The board is NOT crystal Miness like it is marked, rather it is Metal Fighter. Here are some more pictures of the unit.

Sorry for the poor pictures, new camera is a bit different

Thats where the ribbon plugs in

Bottom side of the thing. a small piece of board sticks out, but not enough to where it could be plugged into something. No contacts can be seen, so it is not part of a converter or anything

    Standard 72 pin adapter

See, my question is, do the games from this company normally have EEProms? If not, then my guess is it would be a game flasher of somesort.

I think the "cleaver" part was making the picture small enough so no one could read the label. Good thing it only went for $30 then.

Duh Yes. :/ Yes because crystal mines is so much better than Metalfighter. It also says

so I really don't get what you're saying. Though I guess it was a little too late and which game it was nonetheless was forgotten. Also that's a standard free ebay size pic I sure. And there was a very large pic in the description but they've expired.

See, my question is, do the games from this company normally have EEProms?
Sometime. Yes as likely as the chances of getting bitten from waiving you're hand frantically in random dogs faces yes.

Here is a site with a picture of the Magic-key
5th picture down from the top

although not exactly the same I believe it may have the
    same purpose

European convertor. This looks like a cross between the two
Euro convertors above; it is like a Game Genie and "dongle"
hybrid. You attach a PAL B game into the "dongle" and any
other NES cart into the "Game Genie" part.
