Default Seller charging me $125 for shipping!!!

    $125 for 20 ps1 games.

Asked for a 50% rebate - $62.50. He refused. His defense - "Auction States : I don’t combine shipping, for every 5 games you win, I include a FREE game."

Okay. I get 24 games. $125 is still extra-high for shipping. Am I wrong to ask for 50% rebate? Shall I just suck it up?

These games better mint. They were advertised as mint. Else he'll get 1 positive - for good service - and 19 negatives for false advertising.

I would never pay $125 for shipping for 20 games. This might get you 20 negatives tho

He's technically right, but that still doesn't make him ethically right. I've found the same problem ordering NES games in bulk - but I've usually been able to negotiate some discount. The way eBay's going these days it seems that people would rather sell at 99 cents and charge you $30 shipping (since they don't pay ebay fees on shipping charges) - it's a sneaky way to make money and I believe there's something about it in the ebay rules...

$125 for 20 games? You're a fucking loon if you pay that.

If the auction stated it you agreed to it by bidding

You were wrong for not checking into that, but you're also sub-moronic if you pay that.

    Check this:

    http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_u...lt_2_5_10.html

I would contact Ebay about it. $125 for 20 PSX games is crazy, even if it said so in the auction.

How much did you end up paying for the games too? That's ludacris.

I don't combine shipping either, but if someone bought that many games from me, I would reduce the shipping... c'mon 125 dollars for 24 games is outrageous.

I would contact eBay and see what they can do.

    Why not?
If someone wins two games from you, do you send them both in the same package?

if you actually decide to pay it, pay for all auctions separately through paypal. do NOT use the auction payment combining thing. then, make sure every separate auction is shipped in a separate box. if its not, claim that you never received the item and file a chargeback through paypal.

    Isn't that stealing?

Most games were a penny. The total adds up to $50 + $125 ship. What to say? The guy has good games & I got carried away.

I agree with this, dude. The guy is being a serious ass, no matter how cheap you got the games for. However, if the guy said he doesn't combine shipping (in the auction) then you're kind of stuck, but there is no reason to make it easy on him. Pay separately and insist that each game be shipped on its own. Maybe he'll learn (doubtful, but hope springs eternal or something like that.)

As soon as I read that, I couldn't believe it.
As anagrama said... Why the hell not? Isn't it easier to combine them? Not combining shipping is a great way for buyers to NOT buy multiple items that you are selling.
Whatever, to each is own I guess.

Well, when I was selling shirts yes, I would put them both in the same package, because usually the shirts sold for like 99 cents, and I would usually pay at least 1 dollar a piece if not more than that for a shirt, it just wasn't worth it to combine the shipping because I was making hardly ANY money doing that.

That is why I'm not selling shirts anymore.

I just recently started selling games on ebay so I might end up changing the combining shipping...

If I was selling games every day and a mass quanity, but for what little I sell, it really isn't worth it.

But you're not meant to be making money on the postage. The postage charge, believe it or not, is supposed to be the cost of postage & packaging (plus possibly a small handling charge). To do otherwise is ripping off your buyers.
I'd personally refuse to buy from anyone who wasn't willing to combine postage for multiple wins.

Personally if he's going to be THAT anal about it, I'd ask him to ship every single game in a separate package, seeing as you are essentially paying separate shipping for each one.

Maybe that'll make him change his mind in the future :P

I second the agreement. Make 20 separate payments, and if you only get one box, file a claim for the 19 more expensive ones. He's trying to dick you over, and you need to fight fire with fire.

Moreover, if he does then ship them in one package, you'll have a valid claim for excessive shipping x 24, whereas if he ships them all separate, at least you'll be keeping him honest.
