"Friends" PS2 Trivia Game?!

Obviously, someone who hates the show (and yes, really bad shows do tend to last a decade, don't they?) isn't going to say anything good about a game based on it. The Friends trivia game is obviously not geared towards hardcore gamers but I'd still rather play it than The Guy Game.

Trying to convince me that popularity = goodness will never work. Look at the "artists" winning Grammys, the movies winning Academy Awards, etc. That is certainly not the case. It's all a matter of preference, but popularity doesn't equal quality in my opinion, and it never will.

As far as the Friends Trivia Game over the Guy Game, I can think of only one instance where I'd take Friends over tits of almost any sort, and that would be when my mom was sitting right next to me. Then and only then.

I really didn't care for Friends seasons 6 and 7 and even 8 was a little meh...and then they really fuck you on Season 10 by being a short, rushed season AND having a flashback episode thrown in there...

...but I still got this game (as part of a buy 2 get 1 free, no less!)

Haven't had a whole lot of time to check it out, but I'm surprised to see so much anti-Friends hate. Seriously, there are plenty of worse games out there.

That's why they're opinions. I doubt you'd dig some of the TV shows I've bought on DVD. To each their own.

It can't be any worse than the Guy Game.

Please. The Guy Game isn't that bad. At least there are underage chicks taking their tops off in it. The idea of playing a trivia game with questions like "how many times did Chandler order a double chocolate late with vanilla sprinkles at Central Perk and *not* get a biscotti with it?" seriously makes me want to vomit though.

1. Those girls are not underage. If they were, the game wouldn't have been sold.

2. I don't need to spend $50 to see a girl flash some tits when I can get a lot more for free on the internet and on tv.

3. The game was horrible.

1. one of the girls was under age I know that.

2 There are girls beyond the tv or the internet. Which Im sorry you justifying not spending 50 on the game was just to funny.

3. It is a drinking game you are suppose to drink while you playing, similar to the drinking game a$$hole.

Ok my wife is a total Friends nut. Which made birthdays and Christmas VERY easy until I ran out of seasons to buy for her.

Anyway, I gameflyed the game for her, and we played it 4 player with her brother and his fiancee.

As far as trivia games go it's pretty crappy. They force you to have 1 controller per person, there is almost NO "dressing" of any sort. Question, answer, then a static image that uses windows lighting up in an apartment building to keep score.

The worst part was that despite the fact it claims to have over 7,000 questions, we were constantly seeing repeats even after only playing through an entire game (15-20 questions) 3 or 4 times. Why they wouldn't use the memory card to "flag" questions that had been already used is beyond me.

I only kept it 2 days hehe.

We've played a couple of games, and while we haven't seen any repeats, there's been a ton of questions that were almost the same, just reworded a bit.

But yea, it does come across as pretty plain. Interesting that it shares the same engine as Burnout and Grand Theft Auto III, though.

"Friends" isn't the kind of game you play that often. I played a few games of it when I first got it and then put it aside. Maybe I'll go pull out all my trivia games...a little Friends, a little Jeopardy, a little You Don't Know Jack.

As if having a "Friends" trivia game for the PS2 isn't enough, I've read this morning that there will also be a "Friends" edition of the board & DVD series called "Scene It". They're never going to go away
