The Philips G7000 was my very first game system (Christmas 1982) and it is still my favorite system.

I must say, I had never problems with Packrat Video Games, my orders were always executed promptly.

Oh, and thanks for mentioning my website Stephen

Still apprx. 20 copies of Shark Hunter PAL and about 20 copies of Shark Hunter NTSC left. Those will arrive on my side in apprx. 1 month.

I'm getting an Atari 2600 for free, still haven't trudged into my friends basement to collect it...

Paid hard $$ for my O2 and play it every day.

    And Mr. Roboto's coming out

    And Shark Hunter

    And Spiderman

I'm hoping to get people to start a mailing list for O2 programmers not unlike Stellalist (someone else would have to be in charge of it... my access to technology is primitive at best.)

How 'bout it, folks? Anybody else wanting to build a homebrew for the O2? Or willing to convince the folks at N.A.P. to release a plug'n'play and call it the RetrO2(tm)?
Dude, they should have seriously put Kissinger and Nixon in their own reality/sit-com show. It would be like the odd couple.

Nixon: Is that chairman Mao on the phone?
Kissinger: Yes, but you can't speak to him, you're too drunk right now.

List - I don't see what the issue is with PackRat. I've bought many things from them (Jared) and haven't had an issue. Heck, I even met the guy in 2004 - and helped to get the ball rolling on the O2 Pong game. Of course, I haven't had much contact with him since early 2005...

    Just my two-bits...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I absolutely understand everyone's frustration with their orders/preorders. If I were in one of our customer's shoes, I would be just as displeased if not more unhappy than those that have posted. Like PDF said, Packrat sadly became a one-man-band outfit recently. I tried to hire on new help, but sadly nothing worked out. As luck would have it, I started a new job with crazy hours just as all of this occurred. I apologize to everyone for the delays and lack of communication on my part. These last few months I have acted unprofessionaly.

I do have good news, however. All of our current orders that are backed up will be refunded and sent free of charge. That's right, even the shipping charges will be refunded. It's not right that someone should have to wait so long for an order, and I feel that this is the only way to rectify the situation. I hope that this demonstrates Packrat's ethics and devotion to classic gaming and gamers everywhere.

As for Wolfenstein, it's shipping over the next few days. Ordering instructions will go out tonight. The end product has been a long time in the coming, but it's absolutely spectacular and definitely worth the wait.

I don't think that many people realize that I'm always available to speak to at 801-358-1764. That's my customer service line. I am more than willing to talk to anyone about their order or any other concerns they may have. You can even email me your phone number if you'd like me to pick up the tab on the long distance.

Again, I apologize for the delays and assure everyone that Packrat is back on track.

    Thanks,

the problem i have is im still waiting for my stuff im happy for you if youve had no problem or anyone else who have had no problem BUT the only person im concerned with is ME !!!!!
and i can also add names to the disgruntled people who have had poor dealings with packrat SO until this matter is solved i will always have a problem with packrat

    Default I like it alot

I have a complete US collection(minus a box for my Power Lords) as well as the multicart, homebrews such as Lander and Mr. Roboto, as well as Pinball signed by Ralph Baer. The system kicks ass and if Mr. Roboto is the sign of things to come, then dam bring it on!

Glad someone mentioned the Baer Pinball carts - I got one of these after the fact, but rather sadly...it seems not to be in working order. It's not playing Pinball, that's for sure. Any ideas one how I can get the poor thing working again? I know the casing's worth something with Baer's signature on it, but I'd kinda like a working specimen. :/

I did order it, but does anyone agree with me that the cover of that manual pretty much sucks? First of all, it's a ripped picture from the spiderman movies and secondly it really doesn't fit in with the general look'n'feel of Videopac releases in general. It could have been so much better

Well, for the first we would like to make www.videopac.org/forums/ THE home for all the Videopac and Odyssey2 enthusiasts out there.

Also, William Cassidy's site at www.classicgaming.com/o2home/ has all the news of new Videopac and Odyssey2 releases.

Best idea: Look at William's site for news and then discuss in the Videopac forum

Here's my 2 cents: I think it's great that Bas releases that game on cart, BUT: Spider-Man would never have been released as Videopac back then! It was a Parker game and Parker would have released it, like they did with Frogger, Q*bert, Super Cobra and Popeye.

You know, there is another Parker game that people would like to see on cart. Now what if "someone" would release Tutankham in an "original" custom-made Parker box, and what if that "someone" would order a bunch of boxes more than needed for Tutankham, and would make an "original" Spider-Man box for the Videopac, as it would have looked back then ..........

That someone would be you i guess But you are right, it would look much better. I have the feeling this was just a rush job to cash in on the prototype. Keep in mind though, that not only do you need to change the box, but also the label and manual...

BTW is the ROM of Spiderman already released?

(I still like my U.S. style designs, even though they wouldn't have been Magnavox/Philips releases here either - time to work these up to full scale, methinks!)

Yes, I would make an "original" label and manual too

I don't think that Bas will release the ROM

If you're not totally against it, I might cook up an O2-style Shark Hunter cover too.
