for you people with ungodly collections just estimate.
i've got about 200.
Computer: Too many to keep track
Gamecube: 12
Dreamcast: 97
Nintendo 64: 30
Intellivision: 38 + Intellicart
Atari 2600: 1 + Cuttle Cart
Game Gear: 6-7 (don't have a list for it)
Total: approx 185
Should be a little under 500 total for about 21 or 22 systems.
Just broke 300, but ebay says i have to sell some, I'll have to wait untill 300 again.
My life and perception has changed, but my principals are the same.
EDIT: As of 10/20/10: I'm now at ~620.
Original 08 post:
As of 1/1/08 - I'm now at 902. Between 03-06, I was up to ~1450 games. Then I decided to open my store, and well, let's just say it went back down quite a bit...
Original 03 post:
I decided to add everything, and I came to 958, not including label variations or extras.
About 640 I think.
Hopefully 700 at the end of the year
about 200 i need to get some more nes and 2600 games.
Sorry Ryan, but your girlfriend is in another school.

I've got 728 unique games for consoles (no PC/Mac stuff included), but some guys on this board have about that many just for the Atari 2600.
I can't wait to see some of their numbers.
We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.
Dunno...somewhere between 750 and 1000 I suppose, for various systems, with vcs and nes making the bulk of it...

The moral is, don't **** with Uncle Tim when he's been drinking!
I think the last time I added it all up it was around 2000.... That was about 6 months to a year ago.

Fear your words because they become your actions
Fear your actions because they become your habits
Fear your habits because they become your character
Fear your character because it becomes your destiny

I've got 20 consoles and about 375 games amongst them (from 1 TG 16 game to 75 VCS games).
After I add in my handhelds and 8-bit stuff I top 400 (on 27 machines - although I have a lot of pirated 8-bit stuff I don't count which would easily put me over 1000).
It's funny comparing it to the collections here though. It's miniscule. But the people I know don't come here so they're impressed nonetheless
Time will be when the broadest river dries
And the great cities wane and last descend
Into the dust, for all things have an end
It would be a project to count them up at this point!
To shed some light on this, let me give you a few systems that I can definitely estimate.
I have over 500 original PSX games.
I have over 500 Sega Genesis games.
I have over 250 Dreamcast games.
I have over 400 Atari 2600 games.
I have over 500 NES games.
I collect for every system, and I collect imports for many of them too. I have stacks of Famicom and PC Engine games that I haven't even had a chance to try out yet; and if you start counting diskette games, in some dark closet in my house there are probably 1000 of those.
It's a sickness. Someday I'll have a "real" count but for now the pictures will have to do - which I desperately need to re-do because my game room pictures are now 18 months old!
To elaborate on a previous post, I've estimated that I own approximately 30,000 games. My accountant forcing me to do inventory each year has helped me along with this estimate. Of course, this includes quite a lot of duplicates, but even without duplicates at this point between home and shop, easily 20,000 unique.
That's fucked up.
im almost at 1700 . my goal is too have 2000 at the end of the year .
