    Default Rate your 360 Games

Well I'm not rich but I was able to pick up 3 games at launch:

COD 2- Excellent single player, Excellent online

PGR 3- Amazing visuals but its a little on the easy side, haven't tried online yet.

PD0- Pretty good single player, Okay online but COD 2 is much better.

I wanted Quake 4 but my store didn't have it, so what games did you get and how do you like them.

    Post your thoughts.
    Gotta have it all!!!

Condemnded - Fun, immersive, and totaly enjoyable
    PGR3 - Amazing, simply amazing.
PDZ - Decent SP, lacking story, insanely fun MP. Movement is way too slow.
Geometry Wars - 10 out of 10 for style. Fun and worth the $5 download
Zuma - This bastardized bust-a-move knockoff is a great way to kill time.
Hexic - Same as it ever was. A great way to kill time.

Default Here is what I had a chance to play with

Kameo-great platform title and overall an excellent experience. I would rate it 8.5 out of 10. At first I played it at Wallmart and did not care. Playing it more, it is very solid. This game reminds me of the classics rare once produced.

Perfect Dark Zero is okay in single player, with its strength being co-op both online and off. STAY AWAY FROM MULTIPLAYER ONLINE. It is slow and broken. I would rate the game a 6.5 out of 10

Quake 4 is an excellent single player experience, along with amazing visuals, sound and gameplay. The bonus disc also is cool to play Quake II with 360 hardware. Online multiplayer is so-so, with limited small arenas but intense gameplay. I thought the wait times to get into a multiplayer game were almost longer than the short matches. I would rate it an 8 out of 10.

Ridge Racer 6 was actually not as bad as what I had anticipated. The game has alot ot offer, as in tracks and length of the game, I just did not find it that much fun to play. Playing pac-man at the startup was cool during the load times, I guess I would only recommend it to RR hardcore fans. I did not play PGR3, but I heard it is much better. I rate this game a 6.5 out of 10

Call of Duty 2 is one total package. Both offline an on, I found that the game runs and plays very smoothly. It was easy to pick up and play, and most of all, the gameplay makes you feel like you are actually playing in a war. A solid pick, and thus far the best launch title. I would give it a 9 out of 10.

I do have to add that I work at a game store, and that I won my 360. I do feel that this has to be added to my game reviews because I was one of the early skeptics of the system. If I had to pay several hundered dollars for the system and $60 a game(I get to borrow games for free), I would feel that this next generation has not proved itself yet. Although there are some solid pics, there is not the feeling that the 360 is not that much different from the Xbox...yet. I think that time will fix this, and for the people who are waiting I would probably be with you if I had not wont the system.

    Alphabetically...

Call of Duty 2 - Very engulfing and fun. Phenomenal atmosphere. GREAT multiplayer, even on split screen.

Condemned - A great original game...morbid and brutal to no end. A blast.

Kameo - A standard platformer with a ton of great twists that make it unique. Not a Zelda killer by any means, but a great experience.

Madden 06 - Same gameplay, but with a more cinematic presentation. Phenomenal visuals, lots of fun. Doesn't have a lot of modes, but neither did Madden 95.

Perfect Dark Zero - Not the best thing ever, but still excellent. Multiplayer is a bit different from the norm, but it's an embracable change.

PGR3 - Amazing. Probably the best launch title I've played. Graphics are damn near lifelike, and the racing is top notch.

Tony Hawk's American Wasteland - Doesn't look next gen, period. But it's Tony Hawk, and it's a great addition to a great series.

    Does PGR3 run at 30 or 60FPS?

    No kidding...it runs beautifully.

I'm really getting used to PDZ's deathmatch quirks (the speed and low damage aspects in particular). I love how the bots are often named after other Rare characters (Fulgore, Conker, etc.)

It does look pretty. I've only seen it in commercials and looked like it was running at 60. Hopefully the sequel along with every other 360 game coming runs at 60. I know it's not going to happen but it should.

People need to realize that this day-in-age frames per second is becoming a meaningless term. PGR3 uses motion blur to smooth out the gameplay and so does PDZ. They do not look like 30 FPS games but much closer to their higher FPS brothers. Remember movies only run at 24FPS but the motion blur makes them smooth.

    Very True.....

30 FPS is plenty enough. Sometimes When you get up to 70 FPS the game can become to fast for it to be easily playable. All that really matters is that it maintains that 30 FPS.

You took the words right out of my mouth, man. "Frames Per Second" is the new "(insert number here)-Bit". If it plays great, I don't see why it matters.

I like the look of 60FPS. I've played PDZ and could tell right off the bat it was 30. I have yet to play PGR3. From the commericals it looks 60 but the proof is in the playing.

I simply prefer polygonal based games that run at 60FPS. It pleases my eyes.

I'm not agreeing or disagreeing here, but as long as we're on the topic, I want to know...

    What does 60FPS do that 30FPS doesn't?

Because you're getting more frames of animation the movement looks smoother, BUT good motion blur compensates for this problem and allows you to produce a smoother image with fewer frames.

And RCM did you play PDZ in SP or MP? Because in MP it defitinely looks like a 30FPS game but in SP i uses more effects and i find it looks much closer to 60FPS. Especially when you do the combat roll.

PGR3 is truely something to behold. Especially in HD.
