    I rented it and tried booting by holding B (the usual way to do it on the 'Cube) and got nothing. I don't think it's neccesary though. The difference would likely be negligible.

    Besides classic games are meant to be played with all the scan-lines intact.

    But does Gems collection actually do the proper low res video, or is it butt ugly interlaced video like every version of Mega Collection?

    Oh, I was pretty sure it did support progressive scan. Maybe I was thinking of Sonic Mega?
