I just received my new LCD Hi-def TV last night and am in the process of hooking all of my systems up to it. I need some help in the cable department.
The TV has 4 normal AV hookups, 1 S-vid hookup and 1 component hookup. I've heard the terms S-vid and component vid before, but don't know what I'll see as a difference if I use either of these two. Never had anything other than a tube TV with an AV hookup.
I want to hook up my Xbox using the S or component, since it's the latest system, but like I said, I don't know what each will give me and the TV manual assumes that you know these things.
Strange thing, the Dreamcast looks "meh" compared to a normal TV when using the AV (image seems too dark and "heavy"), while the Xbox looks WAY better than a normal TV....and that's only using the AV at this point. Is the Dreamcast perhaps not meant for LCD?
Thanks.
