I got a boxed PAL unit with some RAM extension board lying around, but like I said it's PAL and 220V.

The PAL amiga will work fine in US voltage with a power converter
(radioshack), and when booting by holding the two mouse buttons
will take you to a menu that you can select PAL/NTSC output.
(You can press the SPACE bar for this on the menu).

    Will work faultlessly..

That or he can pick up an A500/600/1200 power supply in the US and it will work just fine too.

There was never an amiga laptop, except a project with an amiga 600
in a case with an lcd monitor and a battery in a very huge laptop form
in england by a guy that advertised it on Amiga Format magazine.
But there was never a laptop amiga in any official way.

Yep, the PAWS system. They also made it for the A1200 too - even larger!

    Ok buddie

I guess we didnt gave you too much help in this post right?
    Check out the www.amigakit.com
They have a USA chapter too and this is good for shipping rates.

You can have a built to order A1200 at your own specs or a
    plain stock one.

    Keep the Amiga spirit alive,
    Philip

    Thanks, phil.

I just found one with a 1942S monitor locally and I saved quite a bit of money.

    Thanks again for your reply.
