    Default Arcade Cab Problem

I recently obtained a Pac-Man 25th Anniversary Cabinet (the one with Pac-Man/Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga). It was damaged by flood water in Katrina. I sent off the game board and got it repaired. The guy said he tested it and it works.

Only now the screen only shows vertical red lines about one pixel wide all the way across. I don't get any sound. The marquee lights up.

    Anyone have any ideas?

First check all the power supply voltages. I have a cabinet that would give me messed up sound when plugged in the board. Everything else looked and worked great. Turned out the 5V rail was dead on the Power Supply, but the others (+12, -5) were fine. I ended up bolting an open chassis supply to the bottom for 5V and now it works perfectly.

thanks a lot! I used my multimeter and the powersupply wasn't outputting anything... didn't even think about the monitor and marquee light getting power straight from the mains.

i replaced the power supply temporarily with a spare pc power supply i had and the system boots up, says "System Ok!" starts to show the game title screen, then image gets all agrbled, but the buttons still work and the game can be played -- if we could see the screen.... more research

EDIT: Fiddled with the vertical and horizontal holds and everythings working fine! Thanks again!
