Default NGage QD rubber grips coming out

Im having a problem with the outside rubber grips coming off of my ngage qd. Its the rubber siding all around the phone. Especially where you plug the power adapter in, its coming right off and was wondering if there is a real good way to seal this. Im thinking super glue but kinda scared of messing something up. Anyone have a similar problem with this damn thing?

It happens to almost all QD's over time. I've done super glue until it became too much of an issue. Your best bet is to just buy a new rubber band part off of ebay. They do sell just the rubber part in a variety of colors.

On a side note the QD seems to be built rather tough outside of this one issue. I've dropped mine several times and its held up.

edit: here is one on Ebay

I would recommend replacing the rubber with a rubber wrist band. The are significantly cheaper and in my opinion much better than Nokia's original hard/soft rubber combination.

I did a quick google search and found an example of what I am talking about: http://www.aerorubber.com/wristbands.htm Lots of toy stores and book stores have them for $1-$5 dollars and you can customize it whatever color you want (I turned mine inside out to get rid of the words on it.)

Just make sure you remove both the soft and hard rubber, or you will never get the band to stay in place correctly.

If you buy an official replacement faceplate the rubber grips come free with it.
