Definitely MegaMan soccer.
It just doesn't have the 'MegaMan feel' to it, you know.

I can't stand Megaman X7 of Megaman Legends/Megaman64
I can, however, enjoy a yearly game of Megaman Soccer...go figure.
Mega Man 4
1-3 were fine, but 4 was really just missing something...probably orginality
Maybe the controls were so tight, maybe the levels weren't as fun...i'm not really sure. All i know is that game didnt "do it" for me like the previous 3.
BTW, Skull Man...Wood Man wants his weapon back.
Didnt one of the games have a "Junk Man"? WTF?

I loved MML, it was a great change and very very entertaining [plus the voice acting, not too shabby either].
Plus it went on to spawn 1 of my personal favs, Misadventures of Tron Bonne. That game had 1 of the best voice talents I've ever heard.

those 3d mega man games that came out for the ps2 sucked real bad. all those mega man zero games that came out sucked too. really the only good ones in my book were the ones that came out for nes/snes and thats about it.
Even if I go to hell, I will live to the end of this world. And if the world does not come to an end... I will destroy it with my own hands!
Shit...i was the only one to choose a Megaman NES game...i feel terrible... x_x
Personally, if it isnt platformer it's garbage (although I enjoyed megaman soccer back in the day)
Although I've never played them...I've heard those Mega Man games for DOS were utter crap (I've seen pictures of them, and they look horrible). I've also heard that the Wonderswan version of Mega Man & Bass (Rockman & Forte) was pretty crappy.
As for the worst Mega Man game I've played, I strongly agree with everyone who said X7 and X8 were the worst. What horrible games. I really thought the X series went down the tube after X5, which was a pretty decent game. I didn't care much for X6, but the PS2 ones were the worst by far.
I also thought the Mega Man game on the Game Gear was pretty crappy.
Wonderswan Rockman & Forte (damned WS sound limitations fucked up all my favorite music tracks)
I'm trying to best not to say X7.
My main beef with that game wasn't the result of the game itself, but rather of the Wonderswan's lcd screen with the crappy response time. That screen made otherwise easy games damn near unplayable with its insane amount of bluring/ghosting.Originally Posted by VG_Maniac
To date, I've still not beaten one stage after the introduction stage on the actual hardware. I'll have to run it in an emulator sometime so I can actually beat it
You are correct, I still have Mega Man 3 DOS and it's unbearable to play....Originally Posted by VG_Maniac
Mega Man for GameGear...yup another stinker...
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!

I like Legends and enjoyed Command Mission (other than the voices, arg). The later NES games seemed to be lacking something, but they also added cool powerups so it kinda balances out. X series kinda lost me after 4, 4 was great though, even though I have lost ALL the skills I used to have at that game, heh. I hear X7 is terrible but haven't played it myself.
Honestly I can't think of one offhand that I straight up think is BAD, just not my taste (ie the network games i couldn't really get into). I'm sure if i Played some more of the high-numerbed X series I'd find something I thought was bad (I did play X8...it's ok but nothing special).
Maybe not the worst, but damn, that's a lot of Battle Network GBA games, huh. :/
And don't bring up that stupid girlie Aladdin rip off! Shantea?
I didnt find this game THAT bad The only problem is that you cant see all the holes in the ground. So if you dont know the map you might end up jumping straight down a hole or hit some spikes.Originally Posted by Ghouls N Ghosts
I can't believe it took like 27 posts for someone to mention the DOS games. That should be the first and only answer to this question. Those games are TERRIBLE. DOS Megaman is to NES Megaman what Atari 2600 Pac-Man was to Arcade Pac-Man, maybe worse.
And now I'm going to try and defend GameGear Megaman, because I liked it, personally.
GameGear Megaman may not have been that original, but it was pretty fantastic for its time. Not only had there not been a colorized Megaman handheld game to that point, but there also hadn't been a game that extremely faithfully ported the graphics and engine from the NES games.
Of course, because the GameGear had a low resolution, they had to "zoom in" the screen to keep the graphics perfectly faithful, which is why there's the occasional blind pit out of vision. No, it's not a good thing, but it doesn't come into play that often.
Still, I got that game as soon as it came out when I was but a wee lad. I was so excited that I could take a colorized MegaMan game on the road with me, and it did play exactly like an NES game, so I don't see what was terrible about it.
Sure, they lifted levels right out of MM4 and MM5 and just kinda sandwiched them together, but hey, at least they were good levels to begin with.
Plus, and most people don't realize this, but GameGear Megaman is the only 2D Megaman game where the powerups bounce when they hit the ground. I get a kick out of the fact that in this game where they were too lazy to make brand new levels, they still saw fit that they HAD to change the powerups so that they bounce. It's so stupid, but somehow charming.
Really, when a company is asked to take an NES franchise and put it on a largely incompatible system like the GameGear, they could've screwed it up so much worse than they did, so I'm glad they still managed to get a very playable game out of it.
I really enjoyed the Battle Network games, and was highly, highly disappointed by Network Transmission. So my vote goes to that.
Come on, take a trip with me, across the bridge of lunacy...
