Default PS2 Ys remakes have arranged storylines?

Ys I&II are left alone but also include a mixed mode called Eternal Story mode which interleaves the two games as one, you can also play them seperately. Ys III is said to have an "arranged storyline", which doesn't sound like a good idea when you look at travesties like the SEGA Classics Collection, although the game was simplistic in story at the time so it might not be a bad idea. Ys IV which is the most remade of them all has been redone in 3D. Ys IV Mask of the Sun - A New Theory, has been renvisioned from the SFC version of the game and not the PCE-CD version, I'm not familiar with this game so I don't know what the differences might be. Ys V doesn't appear to getting a remake at this time which doesn't make sense since that would have put all six games in the series together on one system.
Why don't you go play in the other room. Why don't you BURN IN HELL!! - Stewie.

Taito is releasing the Ys V remake for PS2. It's on their website.

It really sucks that no one bought The Ark of Napishtim so we could get these over here. Bastards.

So I'm guess that I'm one of the 12 people that actually bought the game on it's release, it's a shame because it really was a good game.

The thing is that they wanted to release Ys I+II here, but Sonly didn't like that it wasn't all 3Dish and declared it a waste of time. As for the re-make of the others, from what I've read they're nothing to talk about and nobody is really missing out on anything.

Im getting it for psp = D when it comes out in the usa soon , by the way , you would of got the other games but sony said no no , were not releasing it here! (being 2d graphically and stylewise) (and sony didnt want a go ahead on ys 1 and 2 cause it was released before on the turbo grapfx = /) its just a stupid policy of theirs.

Ys I & II wasn't denied because it's 2D, it was denied because it's buggy as hell and a sloppy port from PC to PS2 with several small problems. I own it, I love it.. but the port is a total mess, freeze-ups, screen flicker, abysmal load times, the save takes up more than 1MB on the memory card..

The remake of III took 3 hours to beat. It was damn cool though. If they come out here it'll have to be as a III, IV and V package I'd assume.
