    Default SOLD! $100 w/ shipping - 2 SNES CopiersUnits + snes system

Update #2 - $100 and I will pickup the shipping in the US (48 states) I had two similar offers earlier so that's the lowest I'll go. ($110 to shp to Canada)

Update #1 - I've had some pm nimbles but no direct offers so I'm dropping the price to $99

I’ve got two SNES copier / backup systems for sale.
UFO Pro 8 with 34 MB and Pro Fighter X with 32 MB.
Both systems can play all the big games. A SNES system will be included for free. First $120 or obo. I'm looking for cash but I'll also take a gift card to Bestbuy or CC if someone just got one.

Do these things copy games completely to a PC or do they copy game saves or something? What company makes these?

These systems copy the info on a cartridge to a floppy disk and allow you to play the games from the floppy on the snes. One of the neat things about having a copier now is that it allows you to download an unreleased or beta rom and play it through the actual SNES hardware instead of an emulator. Rob has a great site if you want learn about backup units http://www.robwebb.clara.co.uk/backup/

I have always been curious about this, AFAIK carts capacity measures in Megabits and Floppies in Megabytes. As everybody knows 8 bits=1 byte, so 1 common floppy can only carry 11 or so Megabits, leaving the big ones out of the reach of any common Floppy.

So, if it is a special 4 Mb Floppy, then it wouldn't be able to be readeable on a common PC Floppy drive.

So how does it do it exactly? Thanks!

It uses standard Floppy disks. The games are broken into multiple files. So a 32 mbit Game will fit on 3 floppies. Most of the games were 8 mbit or 16 so it usually took one or two disks. The backup units (not sure about all of them) also allowed you to format most floppies at 1.6MB instead of 1.44 so you could fit a 12 mbit game on one disk.

    I'm getting really interested!

Do you know if it serves with the FX Chip games as well?
I do not like emulation (I work for 10 hours or so in front of a Workstation, believe me when I say that the last thing I want when I get home is to sit to play in front of a PC...) and I have heard that the SNES Flascard from tototek has a few issues to be solved...

    Thanks!

I'm not sure. I thought you could if you had an FX game in the cartride slot, but I don't have one to test it with. There were a couple different FX games. I thought someone said it would be possible to play Starfox 2 if you had a game with the same FX chip. I think Snes Doom had the same chip, but I don't know. Send Flack a PM, he might have tried and I know he has a small collection of backups.
