All my meseta if you can guess what CMTZ stands for.
I just watched the video, and I think it will be an enjoyable game. The shots of the first-person nice mode looks kidna neat. Hard to say cause all we're looking at is video, but it could be a nice new method. I think its alot better then sometimes not being able to see the enemy cause of the camera view and trying to use the knife. Also, there looked like there was alot of new puzzles and some kind of point system. Its definately interesting, I can't wait.
How many remakes/ports can they do with one game? It would have been nice if they just made an original RE game for DS, instead of just another REmake.
It still looks interesting tho and it looks like you can actually fight, instead of letting the zombies chew on you. The online mode looks very interesting as well.
As much as I'm sick of them remaking this title over and over instead of making more new projects, it looks like they made a lot of changes and improvements and used the touchscreen very well. I think this looks very good. Also the graphics didn't look bad at all, I don't know what you're talking about there.
Bacon, Bacon, Bacon, IT'S BACON!!!!
The only thing that looked bad was the blood.
Why is everyone still complaining about Graphics?? this makes no sense to me...
The game looks utterly AMAZING to me! I can switch weapons whenever without going to the slow ass menu from the PSX days?? Incredible!
Giving CPR to Richard was too funny He's dead! let him go Jill!
and using Kicks and such, just like in RE4 is badass.
This is sweet beyond anything, the extra monsters especially
Multiplayer mode is nice as well...
and a Tyrant in the Main Hall? Weird....
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
I'm a bit more disturbed that they're leaving in the original B-Movie VA and live action opening...

Hahah, I noticed that they're using the same VO as well. That is something that you really can't change, its classic in its terrible-ness.
"Wait!..... Don't open that door!"
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Number 1 in the 'hood g!
Wow, looks pretty impressive to me. Granted, I think the first Resident Evil game sucks and is the weakest link the series, but it does look like a really well done port. Don't know how I fell about the CPR portion, because I really hate the whole gimimck of using the microphone and such.
I'd probably be more inclined to buy the game if they had remade Resident Evil 2 (or better yet, both 2 and 3 split up into cronological order), but since it's just a remake of the first one, I'll probably wind up passing on it until it's in the bargain bin.
On a total sidenote, I just found out today that the team that was working on Alone in the Dark 5 halted development on it a while back to work on the game Cold Fear before going back to work on it again. I don't know if I should be worried or not since I haven't played Cold Fear yet, but I hate myself for not getting it for $10 at Toys R Us when I had the chance.
i'll definitely be getting this. of course the graphic are no RE4 or 3.. or 2, but it looks just as good, if not better than the original PSX RE. Despite having the same story, the added features for the DS make it its own game. as a huge fan of every resident evil game i will most likely love this game and i eagerly await it's US release. besides, what could possibly be better than portable resident evil (excluding RE:Gaiden for GBC and RE2 for game.com). I dont see the PSP with any kind of RE game in the works.
I love the original RE, this looks to have some noteworthy changes, but for some reason I think in the end the touch screen first person view will not be as good as it seems, that is if you cant move WHILE IN the view itself, because that would mean you would only be able to look in one direction at a time, also I dont think they showed any gun action in first person, but I could be mistaken.
Looks great to me. The knifing looks like fun and easy to use. Unlike most REs were its just a waste of space.

Holy hell this looks fun as hell.
Not just the knife fight parts either, all those new puzzles look quite enjoyable. I'm more pumped for the quick weapon switching and the ability to reload whenever possible. Those were two gameplay additions that I loved in RE4, and having them in RE1 now, in portable form? Sign me up.

Video won't play for me.
Still, it's not going to be easy to go back to the original control scheme. It's all in real time to like the early previews said, no pre-rendered stuff. I'm slightly intrigued.
