    Default laseractive pac-s1 problem

My pac s1 isn't working well, it only works after hours and hours of trying, looks like an contact problem in the region where you connect it in laseractive. The unit looks perfectly externally without damages, I already tried to clean the contact of pac. Anyone with same problem?

Never had that trouble myself, but if you're up to it, the service manual is online here:

Does it just give you a black screen? Do any of the CD/LD controls work?

If the plain Pioneer-font text "OPEN" and "CLOSE" appear, then the A100 isn't recognizing the pac(reference)

Probably though, something is either still dirty, there is a bent/loose pin, or there is a loose connection in the pac or A100 unit. When you say "it only works after hours and hours of trying", is that after continually readjusting the PAC, or just powering on/off?

I will explain better, when I connect pac s1 nothing appears on screen but cd/ld green leds are turned on and I can open cd and ld tray normally. Trying hardly to run, after repositing pac, removing and inserting many times like an dirty cartridge, some times the pac screen appears but the mega cd games doesn't work well and freeze in game, important to say that pac rarely works, it's extremely hard to make run

I already tried to clean the contact of pac and my pac-s10 and pac-n1 runs perfectly in first tentative

Strange, pac isn't dead but looks almost dead
