Default List of US released music/rhythm games for Playstation 2?

I've been getting really into music games as of late. I really like music in general, and playing fake instruments and jamming on buttons to the beat is pretty damn neato. Anyway, here's the games I can think of off the top of my head. Anyone got any others? Any others on the horizon are good too.

    -Parappa the Rappa 2
    -Frequency
    -Amplitude
    -Taiko Drum Master
    -Guitar Hero
    -Gitaroo Man
    -Karaoke Revolution 1, 2 & 3

The Karaoke thing really isn't my bag; I prefer stuff like Amplitude (one of my favorites) and the other games. So if you have any games you can think of, please list them! If you're unsure of whether they fall into the category, list 'em anyways -- I'm interested!

Beatmania is due out around spring this year, if I'm not mistaken. Then of course there's Eyetoy Groove, and DDR (Max, Max 2, Extreme, Extreme 2).

Can't believe I forgot about DDR. Technic Beat looks interesting -- anyone recommend playing it without a dance pad? I don't really want to shell out for a good pad, nor do I enjoy looking like a complete jackass hopping around.

Keep 'em coming...looks like I'm gonna be gettin' some good stuff in the coming weeks.

Technic Beat is definitely designed to be played with an ordinary Dual Shock. I wouldn't recommend attempting it with a DDR pad. Heh.

Oh, and we've forgotten about Unison, though it's nothing special.

Ah, thanks. From a quick glance at eBay, it appeared as if it might be one of those DDR knock-off type games.

It doesn't get any more serious than a Rhinocerus about to charge your ass.

Well, I just found another one at Best Buy today that I've never heard of

    FLOW: Urban Dance Uprising

    It's basically a rap-hiphop version of DDR

Oh yeah! I forgot about that one. Has anyone played it yet? Curious to see if it's just a hip-hop version of DDR or more than that.

Nice list; that's nearly all of them! Thanks man.

Anyone else have any music games they know of? Maybe some obscure budget titles? Low print run games? Stuff that the major mags/websites didn't review?

On another note, I've been contemplating picking up REZ, but can't decide whether to do so for PS2 or Dreamcast. Anyone have any recommendations? I have a 5.1 setup (Dolby Digital compatible) and a display capable of HD and VGA input. I've heard various things about the merits/benefits of both versions, but can anyone comment who has played both extensively?

Yeah, I just saw this the other day at Gamestop. Price dropped to $40 new but I'm so used to playing on metal pads, I don't know if I could handle playing on the soft PIU pad. Does anyone know if it's decent?

    There's also
Jungle Book: Rhythm N'Groove (It even has a Lou Bega music video on it )
Dance Factory by Codemasters coming out in April

Was Fantavision to music? I never played it but it seems like it could've been a rhythm game. And there was also a dancing mini game in GTA: SA.

Nope, Fantavision was just a weird ass fireworks puzzle game. The sound track was alright, though.

Frequency is a lot more electronica and underground, so don't expect much of the pop and rock from Amplitude. Also, the playfield is a tube, so you can wrap around indefinitely (no more trying to dart from end to end quickly). I liked the online play in Freq a little better than Amplitude, but I'm not sure if you can still play it online. And even if you can, you have to boot from the original Network Adapter disc, which has the online version of the game on it. The other differences are all fairly subtle. Overall, both games are awesome.
