Default ebay seller vididiots - reseals, IMO

Just a heads up as in my opinion a lot of this guy's sealed NES games are resealed. Just in case anyone here was considering a purchase.

They look fine to me too. The seller even shows multiple photos to show the seam. What makes you think they are re-sealed?
Condoleezza Rice is nice, but I prefer A Roni!

They have also bought NES reproductions from a repro-maker and then sold them off on e-bay with the 'I found this at a flea market a few years ago...I didn't even know they made this for the NES!' line.

One time I was selling a NES Snow brothers, was in great shape, had a reasonable BIN of 35 dollars on it, 5 days in someone bought it and was happy with it

Vididiots sent me an email saying "35 dollars for this game is outrageous!!! I'll give you 10 dollars for it"

HA! I politely told him to look elsewhere, sounds like he decided to see if I was an idiot and would sell it to him cheap, so he could resell it, or whatever

I would bet $100 that most of those are resealed. The seams just don't look right. Take hillsfar as an example. No way is that legit.

I've pm'd the people wondering on what basis I make my comments.

shit well if that doesn't make people believe me I don't know what will. Too funny. Good work linkoracle.

The sad part is that there is a new asshole out on the street resealing games. Great. And what's really disconcerting is that it only cost him $150 to get an (albeit crappy) machine able to produce a horizontal line.

you don't even have to look at the shrinkwrap to tell if it's a reseal. Just look at his sealed Contra. On the back of the box you can see a white line at the top of the box. This shows that the cardboard flap where the game comes out has been folded several times already. But the seals look truly genuine, if I didn't know he bought a shrinkwrapping machine, then i would have been fooled also.

I agree with ya Bronty, these look like a bad attempt at a reseal, the dead giveaway on some of them is the uneven line on the seal, every nintendo sealed game that I've seen thats legit has a seal line that is straight with no bowing. (because its sealed by a machine, not by hand) Some of these are just brutal.

    Hey Darth,

Your point is well taken, most have straight lines, although I've seen lots of legit games with not-perfectly-straight lines too.

as an example, look at my mega man... 110% legit, but the line is not perfectly straight, some have sort of a horseshoe shaped seam that's slightly lower in the middle.

There's also a legit zigzag type seam I've seen on a few games as well; mostly popeye and genghis khan for some bizarre reason.

No question on these games though, agreed.

Either way this guys getting away with murder, look at his current auctions, he's making alot of extra cash with those sealed games. There should be an article out there or at least something to let people know what a truly sealed SNES/NES game looks like.

He hasn't made any cash yet. I have a feeling user "nice_reseal_you_got_there" might win a lot of these auctions..

Articles are nice and everything, and some are out there, but there's nothing like experience and a sharp eye.
