DS vs PSP which is your Fav and why?

I use my DS way more than my PSP. It is about the games. Yes, the PSP has much better graphics, but the game library (for my taste in games) has yet to shine. Yes, Burnout is fun and that Japanese drumming game is great, but the rest IMHO have been just so-so...

So, now I would say that you should by a DS, but in a year, my mind might change based on upcoming releases.

the DS has had some gems, I think both the PSP and DS have been waiting for THAT key game, although SOCOM/GTA, and Mario Kart/SMB 64, are the two knock outs so far for each system.

edit: oh and if your going to mention animal crossings, I forgot about that one. When mentioning the Powerhouse games (IMO) for the DS.

the ds, i like the quality of the games better i like the controls better, its layed out better.

i cant stand playing my psp i hate where the nub control stick is, plus i hate the way it feels.

what the f are you talking about why is it, that I have an opinion about a system, I like BOTH the DS and PSP, but the PSP imo, is BETTER what is so hard to grasp about that, and when did DP become nazi germany, and a person can't speak their mind without offending the Nintendo gods.

dude, I don't base my opinions on what SELLS, or whats popular, thats why ITS MY OPINION.... sheesh, I started this post to get Honest, opinions on a system vs system basis, I didn't expect this rediculous negative backlash. WOW... I like the DS, I like the PSP, imo, the PSP is better, nuff said.

also i went in with a negative out look becasue i felt so jaded by the GBA (it is my favorite handheld currently but i feel i was lied to by nintendo)

i remeber all the adds surounding the GBA and i was so excited about the system - i got one opening day and was real happy playing some great handheld games -- but as time went on all i was seeing was snes ports - and i was like "hey, where are my outrageously awsome GBA original games" there were a few but thats it most of them could run on the snes"

edit:: i need to add something here -- yes there are original games on the gba - i was just expecting more games like "star X" but much better and not only shooters and ones that totaly distanced the GBA from the snes - thats all - i realy like the GBA and think it kicks the butt of the new handhelds)

what i meant about going into looking at the DS negatively was becasue i was truly expecting an N64 with many games that big brother could handel (yes i know not all but many) - yes i do see great games on it and i do see great games comming out in the future for it , i just expect the DS to lead the same life as the GBA did - not many truly taking the full advantage of the hardware -- also i was disapointed with the touch pad and the screens (not being reversed -- i gues im a backwards guy)

i certainly do agree with you that the DS has fun games on it -- im not saying it dosent - i play them every now and then - but i dont own one becasue i cant justify paying the money for the anoyance id get out of it (same with the psp) - i rather add more GBAs to my growing GBA pile

Yes, I agree on the console.... Crap sells and can be vaulted up to the best selling game for a month. Not normally true for handheld games

If you're talking about killer apps, then you should be basing your opinion about what sells or what's popular. Mario64 helped when the system launched, but it's definitely not a system seller. It was more of an appetizer, I'd say. Mario Kart is a shoe-in, but it would be much more sensible to pair it with Animal Crossing (as you said), Nintendogs, or maybe Castlevania.

I'm not much of a GTA or SOCOM fan. I actually got to beta test SOCOM for the PSP and stopped playing it after a few goes. The games that have had me hooked on the DS are Mario & Luigi, Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!, Trauma Center (although that got dull after a while), Phoenix Wright (which got repetitive after a few cases), and Animal Crossing (which is much more fun to play when someone else has a character on your console/cart)...
