Default Atari 8 Bit: Eastern Front 1941 APX on Cassette Value?

I saw a copy of Eastern Front 1941 for the Atari 8 bit line today. It's in amazing condition. This is the casstte version and not the cartridge. The box is immaculate and everything appears to be there. I haven't been able to find any information of the value of it. I will go back and get it if it's at least worth what they are asking for it.

Any help will be much appreciated.

I would post this in the Atari 8 Bit section of AtariAge. There be some smart people there.

So you are saying it was the original APX version?
Quite rare, but not sure about the value, as it is tape (usually tapes are not worth much really)
I got the cartridge version with added levels.

Anyway look here for some info (doesn't help the value though):

Yep, it's the original APX version. In a large, very generic looking box. I think I'm going to go down and get it, if for nothing else, just to have another interesting piece that very few people have ever seen.

Don't pay more than $3 for it unless you plan to keep it. I doubt it's value is at more than $5. Tape soft is generally of low value for computer systems. You'll have to find someone who goes apeshit for Eastern Front to get much more.

For what it's worth I totally agree with Ianoid's statement. I'm an Atari computer collector myself and I wouldn't pay more than $5 for a cassette.

(I'd buy it the instant I saw it though - it's just neat IMO).

The asking price is $10. I'm still considering it though, just as a curiosity. Would be nice to have found some ultra rare OMG WTF BBQ game, but it's still a cool find!!

I've thought about this after I posted, and you know, I probably *would* pay $10 for it. Maybe even $20. Not on eBay or something like that, but if I saw it at a thrift or pawn shop or something.

It might not be "worth" that much, but I enjoy collecting 8-bit stuff so much and see it so rarely that I'd be loathe to pass it up unless it was *ridiculously* priced.
