I would just buy an SNES controller to USB converter and play the rom on your computer. It'll be a lot cheaper than trying to track down what you're looking for. (honestly, I don't know anything about that kind of stuff, but a converter will still be cheaper)

If you're dead set on playing it on real hardware, you can track down a Doctor SF or similar device (I have an SF7, it plays just about anything I throw at it minus the extra-chip games), or use something like THIS little piece of kit.

It is possible to convert a cartridge to a different game, but involves EPROMs, extensive rewiring and soldering, and cutting up your nice pretty cartridge if you want to close it up. A guide is out there somewhere if you're brave enough to try it, though...

I would recommend going to tototek.com and ordering a Game Doctor SF7 and/or tototek's own SNES flash cart.

It's the next gadget that is on my list to buy most likely.

Is it worth the extra money to but an SF7 instead of an SF6?
And do I need 64M of memory or would the 32M one work just fine?

You only need more than 32 Megabits if you are planning to play any of the very few games which are > 32 Megabits. Barring the possibility of translation patches which expand the size of a ROM beyond 32 Megabits, or any hacks/homebrews > 32 Megabit, the only games I know of which are > 32 Megabit are:
    Daikaijuu Monogatari II
    Far East of Eden Zero
Far East of Eden Zero - Shounen Jump no Shou
SD Gundam G Next - Senyou Rom Pack & Map Collection
    Star Ocean
    Tales of Phantasia

Of course, you might also want > 32 Megabits if you want to put several games on the copier at the same time.

Yeah, I'd suggest a flash cart. Then you can use it over and over to play translated ROMs.

If you did want a translated version of Bahmut Lagoon it is possible, if you have the cash
