Default what is the consensus on Yo-Noid? (NES)

This is one game I have never seen been mentioned before (not that I was looking, mind you, so I'm sure it's been talked about before) but what is your take on this game? I remember renting it from a mom n pop store in probably 1990 based JUST off the front cover, because it looked so cool to me back then.

I can barely recall it, but I remember it being very playable and fun. Wasn't the character related to a pizza joint? I'm thinking Domino's for some reason...

I played it again around a year ago. It was a very famous mascot for Dominos Pizza.

It was decent, the control was a bit sluggish but I still enjoyed it enough to play it for more than a couple of hours.

This was my absolute favorite game back in the day for the NES. Basicly it's a platformer where you use a yo-yo to kill your enemies... good times.

I loved this game. The card game "pizza eating" contest between stages was great fun. I seem to remember a dock stage with rising and falling water that could prove difficult, but the different scrolls (magic) were pretty neat. For a marketting mascot this was a well thought out game.
They call me Ha-do-ken, cause I'm down, right, fierce.

Best licensed platformer on the NES. (Disney games excluded)

It wasn't bad. I played it all the way through. I don't have any desire to play it now, really, but it's not bad. They tried with that one. The whole yo-yo thing reminds me of the infamous Goonies II.

Yeah thats the one level I can remember of this game, the water rising on the docks, lol. It had good graphics for its time too I remember. I remember seeing this and BEETLEJUICE (NES) for rental. I eventually got Beetlejuice, but it sucked.

I like run n jump games where you use some sort of yo-yo-esque weapon. Rygar (NES, PS2) is a great example of a great yo-yo-esque action adventure game.

Well the thought out part was already done before Capcom slapped Noid into the game. This was origionally a different game in Japan. The theme was just changed, kind of like SMB 2 (NES) and Decapattack (GEN).

My opinion is that is right in the middle of NES platformers, not bad(example Peter Pan & the Pirates) but not great(example Shatterhand)

I always thought this game was impossible until I realized you could rack up lives like a mofof in the pizza eating.

My opinion is that it is a very average platformer. Maybe 10% better than Circus Charlie.

LinkOracle, Shatterhand is the shit. That game RULES.

Yeah, this game was originally a Capcom title called something like "Great Ninja Haramaru" and he fought with a pet hawk instead of a yoyo. I love this game, its one of the best NES platformers there is (My dad actually owns a Domino's Pizza franchise, so I've got love for the noid). When I was a kid I knew how this section in the ice level where you could jump into a part of the air and it took you to a secret whac-a-mole game. I wish I knew how to get there still, completely bypasses the otherwise fairly hard ice level.

That sewer level is a bitch. And those pizza card games? They start getting impossibly hard. And when you lose one you have to restart the level.

Oh man, the skateboarding level! That one rocks!

I still need to beat that game...

Been too long since Ive played it but I know I enjoyed it as a kid. I used to rent it a lot. I doubt I beat it because I rarely beat anything but it was a lot of fun as a kid. Of course I also thought the movie Lawnmower Man was the shit when I was a kid so I could be way off.

If you look at the cover art, the Noid is giving his nemesis the middle finger.
