    Default Nomad Screen Problem

I have a sega nomad with a bar that runs vertically in the middle of the screen takes up approx 1/3 of the screen. I can see the characters normally, but the colors are dark and muted in the middle. I got this from a trade box from a member of DP at the meet-up a couple of weeks ago in wisconsin. Kamino didn't know how to fix this, seeing he never deals with handhelds. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Nomad screen wires are encased in a highly meltable ribbon cable that is soldered to the screen directly. Near impossible to resolder or bridge.

    And yes, that does suck.

The ribbon cable isn't soldered to the board. It's connector is, but the ribbon cable is removable at both ends. Just pull it out of it's connector.
