Default The Sega Genesis EA Multi-Tap.. (error in rarity guide)

Okay, I know this doesn't matter to anyone.. but in the rarity guide listing for the Sega Genesis multi tap developed by EA, ( http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=30741 ) It states that only EA games could be played with it.. I know for a fact that it atleast works with one non-EA game: Mega Bomberman. It's the only non-EA 4 player game I have to test with it, so I'm not sure if it's just a rare exception.. but if I had to guess I'd say it would work with any 4 player game. Thank you, and goodnight.

Quite a few later 3rd part games were also programmed to work with both the EA 4 Way Play and the official Sega multitap.

Oh alright... So there are 4 player games that won't work with the EA multi-tap?

I seem to recall some later versions of either the EA or the Sega version were compatable with *ALL* multiplayer games.

I remember reading about it in Gamepro way back when...but i cannot remember which it was...maybe the SEGA one.

Possibility is infinity! You must be satisfied!

As far as I know, there were no revised versions of the multitaps, just developers that programmed their games to work with either.
Given their earlier disputes, I doubt Sega would have gpone to the effort of releasing a revised multitap that plays the earlier EA 4 player games.

Actaully, Sega DID release two versions of their multi-tap. The original one was part # MK-1647 and the second one was part #MK-1654. I thought one of the changes was support for the EA games, but it's been a while since I've messed with one.

    ahem.

(I'll try and excuse myself by saying only one of them made it to Europe. Though I'd better double-check that too... )
