My brand new project: NES Quest (w/ screenshots)!

I finally finished my SMW hack (which I'll upload soon in the appropriate topic), and started on a new project using the Megazeux program (which I haven't touched in about 9 years!) It seems the newest version (2.81) works great on my PC, so I thought: why not start a video game releated game?

It is an action/RPG based on the exploits of an NES collector. You can choose to be male or female, both with different paths to take.

The game will include a mention to every NES game ever made, and you can use most of them in battle (the others will give you out of battle abilities)! The game will feature a bunch of NES music and sound effects, too.

So... tell me what you think. Good idea? Stupid idea? Have any suggestions? Let me know!

You should try making a game with an actual story and premise, since you appear to have at least the basic skills needed.
It just feels like, if I could make a game, would I spend so much time with an idea like this?

I have. It's called the Doomsday Dream Legend series, which I made waaay back in 1997, which are due for a remake very soon. This is just a fun little project I've wanted to do for awhile.

Wow! This sounds like one of those impossibly staggering Megazeux projects that awes everyone and then gets completely cancelled. There were a lot of those back in the day.

Hopefully this one will turn out different, because the ambitious Megazeux stuff that did get finished was damn good. (Am I still the only one who has played Bernard the Bard?)
