    As per DP's guide, $15 is a good person-person price, but I'd cap a person-business transaction at $40.

    It'd be a cold day in HELL before I'd ever see a Clean-cut Saturn at $15 :/

$10-30 in poor shape, $30-50 in clean condition, $50 and up BOXED with low usage is more realalistic.

There's a pawn shop not far from me with about five Saturns sitting in a case. I think they have $35 on them. The shop is usually overpriced but items are subject to negotiation depending on who you talk to. I'd be glad to check on the price for anyone who's interested. LMK!

the cheapest i see any given system is 20 dollars. it is a bit of a mendoza line, unless there is an absolute glut of a particular system at a given time (the N64 and PSX were this way around 2002).

though systems rarely go under 20 dollars, what the bundle includes often does fluctuate. sometimes you get one controller, other times, youll get 8 controllers, five games, and some weird arcade stick

case in point - last year i saw a saturn in a thrift store, just the box, for 30 bucks. not a good deal. i look inside to see if there is a game inside, and to my surprise i see virtual on, but it looks like a CDR that was directly printed on. i go to the toy section of the same store, and in a box, i see a 5-in-1 cart, an import clear controller, and an arcade stick with no price tags, so i gathered it all up and bought the package for 30 bucks

already the system is a great buy, but the CDR got me thinking the improbable, and when i got it home, and tried a backup game, it booted right away. it was my find of the year, even though i already had a modded saturn, this was an oval button version, so i ended up selling my round button model for a nice little profit.

I'm used to seeing them at pawns, loose, for around $30. I've thought that was pretty fair, if the condition was good.

Yeah, unless you get lucky don't expect anything lower than 15. But don't pay more than 35-40 in person unless you have a LOT of cash you can squabble and you simply can't wait.

There's a Saturn with a 3D controller at the pawn shop up the road for $19.99 in great condition (better than mine which just needs dusting). But if I travel a bit farther up the road, there's a used game store selling one for $25 and $40. Odd but it's nice to have a pawn shop that can't price games worth crap.

I bought a Saturn here in the UK last week for about $1.30 in American money.. people throw them out in the rubbish in England

In the game shops however its about $30 in American money for the unit only, so I suppose thats about right

I paid $30 for mine with 1 controller, 3 games (All complete, though the cases don't function properly) And all hookups.

But in the end it turned out being free after i sold some boxes of movies to the guy i bought the saturn from. (I paid $3 for the movies and got $35)

The saturn that i own is the only one i have EVER seen in person, so far - And i was looking for one from 14 to 18 months! But then, the saturn did not sell very well where i live.

Wow! Thats good good chaoticjelly. I picked up my Saturn in a car boot sale this summer with 3 games and 2 controllers for £6. No lead to plug it in the TV though so I spent about that much again getting a scart lead.

And if you see one with the analogue pad, thats definitely worth picking up, I dont know how much those go for loose but the box set with Nights still costs quite a lot

I would give my left arm for a Saturn, especially if it is CIB. Anyone know where I can get one(besides ebay)?

Also, most loose ones i have seen(only a few) were about $40.

One going for $30 at the GameXchange over here. (however they spell that name)
Boxed model 1 (I think), it isn't very pretty & it smells like cigarettes. With cables, a controller & styrophome. No books or bags.

I've got extra Saturns kicking around. I ask $55 Can. Which is about $45 US. They aren't easy to find around here.

I paid $10 for my saturn with hookups, Virtua Cop and light gun. Then paid a little bit for a controller.

About $20-$30 seems to be the base value (the value to me averaged from the prices I see them for at flea markets and yard sales). Most sold on eBay will want just that or more to ship them so keep that in consideration. My main model 2 Saturn was picked up for $20 at a flea market with two model 2 controllers and A/V cable - works fine. I've been able to grab loose consoles for as low as $2.

The second model Saturns (round buttons instead of oval) tend to be in higher demand because they are easier to work with internally - at least in my experence.

I usually hardmod EVERY model 2 Saturn I come across with a US/JPN region switch. This allows it to play both US and Japanese games without a lockout defeating cartridge. (Will not play CD-R's, software pirates must die!) Takes about 30 minutes and a $3 DPDT switch, but it easily doubles the value of the system.
