Nice that you have to add it to your cart before it tells you how much it is.

This system is very cool (I just sold mine). It plays games almost perfectly, no blowing in the carts and the picture is sweet!!

Standard $59.99 for the unit, or we have packages for $64.99 which include a game.

We've been selling the units for several months (when we can get the units in stock.) Other than 1 defective unit (missing a screw) we haven't had any issues. (I was surprised as new consoles are usually subject to some flaws.) That said, we've sold over 250 units so far and only the one problem.

Most of the feedback we've gotten from our customers is that they love the unit, they feel it's pretty sturdy and other than a few titles that don't emulate correctly, they have been able to enjoy most of their ol' NES and Famicom collections again!

My only problem with the unit was that it doesn't play castlevania III. Other than that it was great.

Does this thread really need to be about dragging the NEX through the mud again? I think that by this time we all know what it's strengths and weaknesses are. If you want to trash the NEX some more, how about bumping up one of those threads instead of shitting all over this one?

I think linking a critical review(as someone did) is more then fair. Hardly dragging it through the mud really. I can't imagine everyone is aware of the systems faults, especially with misinformation like the IGN advertisement floating about.

Point taken l I didn't know that the nex was dragged through the mud on dp. I was just sharing my thoughts and info on what I found about it.

As a followup, the Messiah games systems have arrived and are currently shipping!

We also loaded up a bunch of Messiah Game Paks (systems with games) to the site. Just hit the advanced search and type "Gen NEX" to see the selection. More are on the way!

Sweet, I was against the NEX from all the dirt that I had been hearing/reading about it, but after a visit to their site I came across this picture...

Says that 95% of NES games will play on it with no problems, so I am seriously starting to rethink on it... The messiah website also has a list of all the games that they tested and whether or not they worked. That way you can check to make sure it plays the games that "you cannot live without". I was under the impression that like 20% of the NES library would be experiencing problems with the NEX. $59.99 isnt too bad either for a sleek lookin system like that, but I'll have to look into shipping charges/times before hand (moving to a new house shortly). Thanks for the info and heads up J2

That's the question I'd like answered before I put my money down.

Hey J2, since this is the buying/selling thread, do you have any promo/discount codes for us DP members?

Before gepeto erased his first post and wrote bump, he had the link to the review which in turn linked to the compatibility list. I believe the 95% are games that work fine with no problems, and the remaining 5% are ones with sound and graphical glitches, while a few (like 2 or 3) titles (CV 3 being the only one you'd probably ever want to play) won't work at all.

We have been testing most of the common and more popular titles ourselves with a side by side comparison with an original NES and Messiah Gen NEX.

I think you'd find that most of the more popular games or games you're likely to want to play emulate properly on the system. (but alas, no Castlevania III.) Messiah's site is pretty good and upfront about the games that work and don't work and has matched our findings.

And for our friends at DP, we will extend the coupon which is available to J2Games members this month, 5% off any purchase of $20 or more, just use coupon code: febspecial in the coupon section on checkout.
