Default The PlayStation Museum website is now up.

The PlayStation Museum (www.PlayStationMuseum.org) is now up and running and dedicated to preserving the history of the PlayStation. There's still a lot of work to do, but the PAL PS1 game previews are expanding weekly. Go there and check out some cool development items, betas or rare and unique software/hardware. If you want to help contribute screenshots or scans, just give the webmaster a polite shout. If you have any suggestions to make it better, tell the webmaster while you are there.

Pending permission, an exclusive PlayStation Museum interview with an elite PlayStation programmer will be posted soon. And if you enjoy that, there are two other interviews waiting in the wings.

    Thank you.

Excellent, if you need any UK magazines, like OPM, Mean Machines PlayStaion, Station or Sony Pro with CDs, I gladly make scans.

I can also provide photo's of factory sealed copies of PAL games that may just be the last surviving sealed copies. Some rare (Vandal Hearts II; Suikoden; Vib Ribbon) and others that are quite old (Bubble Bobble; Earthworm Jim II) ~ can also provide photo's of some of the rarer sealed NTSC U games

Personally, I love the site. I have always been a fan of preserving PlayStation history, hence why I collect sealed copies of games, so that I can preserve what once was.

Thank you for your offer. I may PM soon then. I would like to get more pictures of your avatar though.

EDIT: Would you be able to scan some PAL game ads from the magazines mentioned above? I'd like to include scans of the ads with each game (similar to what I did with Baldur's Gate prototype game). I need ads for ANY PAL game listed on my site.

I may PM you if you could scan the front and back of the case (obviously without opening the seal). I have a bunch of games that I need to scan covers but I'm so busy making screenshots.

As much as I like a ton of PS games, the system was the beginning of the end for gaming.

I don´t like too much the PSX, but the site is pretty good, obviously, with the time, it will be better. Very good project.

Man, that's a fantastic effort, and certainly has potential to be one of the finest single-format sites around. Great work!

Small tidbit for ya - my PAL PS1 is a model # SCPH-7502.

The following listing of European PAL games were not released in the NTSC U/C territory.
    "Moho" was. As "Ball Breakers"

Shame about the watermarks though, that always spoils any good website (atari-history.com does this too, not very clever) If you gotta do it, be more discreet, like AGH

Not a bad site. The layout of the game pages looks a lot like Game Rave's, but I'm sure as it gets fleshed out your site will become more unique.

It looks alright, but it would be nice if you switched your banner and navigation menu. It is kind of confusing to have to select a section on the right side of the page, and have the links frame on the left. I won't go into the evil of using frames.
<Evan_G> i keep my games in an inaccessable crate where i can't play them

Is the site going to expand to other PlayStation systems or just stick with the PS1?

I don't think getting into PS2 is very smart [considering it's not an old system yet, and it also mean a load more work].

Being a PS collector myself, I must say I'm pleased.

Exactly what I was going to ask. Even if it was to just touch on aspects such as Limited Edition hardware, or cult followings of certain series of games which started during the 32bit era and continued till now...

And I agree that as nice as the interface is, it could use a bit of tweaking. Took me ages to navigate the site, keep having to click right, then left etc...

And sorry, but don't have a scanner, but can do photo's if that helps

PS: Beatmania and the Namco Gcon games can also be added to the section where you have listed games which came with specialist controllers
