Just like the PSone question, getting rid of stuff.
Are there any games that don't work at all with the 6 button controller? I know some you have to hold Mode down, but that's no problem.
Thanks.
golden axe 2
but that is a normal megadrive cart, not a 32x/mega cd game.
i can back up that theory too. Golden Axe II needs to have the MODE button held down before you power it up.
These cartridges are dirty as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!
I always wondered what that damn thing was for. (Mode button).
Yeah the first time I used the mode button was in DOOM on 32X to enter in a cheat code....and that's all I thought that damn button was good for lolOriginally Posted by Bluteg

found out 2 weeks ago or so that DeCap Attack wasn't compatible with 6 button controllers (unless you do the mode trick I was told, but I haven't tried it yet)
I have an old third party Genesis 6 button pad, and after I bought Forgotten Worlds for my Genesis awhile back, I was disappointed to find out it didn't work correctly (start a game, go straight to game over) with my six button pad. I just don't remember if I did the hold mode button trick down before I powered it on, looks like I'll have to give that a try.
The old pad is starting to malfunction, looks like I'll have to replace it soon.
If I recall, Ms. Pac-Man will not work properly unless you use the 3 button controller. I think the D-pad is non-functional if you use the 6-button controller.
All of the aforementioned Genesis games will work with 6 button pad as long as you hold down the Mode button as you are turning on the system and have gotten past the Sega Logo.
Fatal Fury 2 works fine with a 6 button pad (No need to use the mode button to trick your system into thinking that a 3 button pad is connected), but if you tap mode during gameplay, your character strikes a pose and taunts his / her opponent.Originally Posted by Bluteg
