nintendo 64 DK bundle for $50 in 2002. fye was closing em out. up to that point i had owned a 2600, nes, snes, and gameboy. the 64 really got me into games again... and then i bought a dreamcast and started collecting... almost 1700 games now... in less than 4 years. that's a new game every day.

Mine was a SNES. I also had a C64, Intellivision, and NES that had been Christmas gifts over the years. I had actually saved up enough in elementary school to buy an NES (no small feat when you are 10) and couldn't understand why my parents wouldn't let me buy one. Then I got my NES set for Christmas and it was a huge surprise. Best Christmas present I ever got, to this day.

    Default First console I bought

It was the Sega Megadrive (JP) and I had so much fun playing Tatsujin, Forgotten Worlds and Super Shinobi. Yeah those were the days. Back in the day too I was playing the Megadrive on a PAL TV....Yup it played in black and white...sigh what wonderful times I had to save up for a RGB monitor and used a scart lead later.

SNES. I **may** have bought my C128 new with Christmas/Birthday money, I'm not sure, but I know I bought my SNES new. After that i've bought a PS1 and PS2 new, GC new, DS new, GBA new, Wonderswan new, 2 XBoxes new, and all my others are used/refurbished/hand-me-downs.

I bought an atari 2600 jr back in 1986 with my own money, I want to say it was 80$, but I can't quite recall.

Solaris was the first game I bought.

That is some high-quality entertainment right there. I've been meaning to find my copy of Forgotten Worlds and play it on the Nomad some, give the first two Shinobis and Atomic Runner a rest.

The first system I bought with my own money was an NES. I bought it off a friend with 7 or so games. I think I paid around $70. The first new system I bought myself was an SNES.

The only systems I have bought were pre-owned....anything else was a gift from parents. Any systems I buy from here on out though will be paid in full by me.

    Gameboy - Dad's originally
    NES - Dad's originally
SNES (Donkey Kong version) - Gift for me
Gameboy Color - Gift for me
Nintendo 64 - Gift for me
PS1 (the actual mini version) - mine from birthday
Dreamcast - bought by me off a friend
Gameboy Advanced - bought by me off a friend
    Playstation 2 - Christmas gift
    Gamecube - Gift

My sister has Nintendo DS....that is next to buy on my list. And of course the Playstation 3 is up there for me as well.

The first system I bought with my own bread was the Snes. After seeing Streetfighter 2, I had to have it. That was back in 92.

I only had a few systems before that. The Nes was bought by my brother and he never played it. The Intellivision and pong was bought by my pops.

The first system I got with my own money was the N64, then the Dreamcast. I saved up money from my summer job to get one.

The original Game Boy for 99.99$CDN in 1989 (I was 11 years old). I went to the store to buy a Power Glove (also 99.99$), but when I saw the Game Boy, I was like "hmm don't know what it is, maybe I should try it, it seems funny". Wise decision I bought a Power Glove a couple of years later for 20$ and I am so happy with the choice I made !

My first system that I bought with my own money was the GameBoy Advance. I had to work real hard, helping my grandmother move (she paid me like 8$ a day) and passing out newspapers.

I bought it at a local game dealer and it took me an hour (or so it felt) to get it in my hands 'cause they had to count all my loose change that I paid with. I also bought F-Zero with it.

I am 27, soon to be 28, but the first system I bought on my own was the Sega Saturn, within the first few months during the "stealth" release. Almost regretted it when the PSX came out, but it sure felt good to play Daytona USA, however cut down the graphics were.
