    Default Mail-Order Only Nintendo Games

I was reading some of the 'Collector's Closet' articles archived on this site, and came across the bit about the rare mail-order only Nintendo cartridges such as "StarFox Super Weekend Cartridge," and how rare they are nowadays. Bearing that in mind, do you think a title such as "Electroplankton" which is not available in stores might reach that staus someday, or does the fact that the internet making it so much easier to get the game out there diminish it's future collectibility?

Star Fox Competition Cart was a different scenario, its production run wasn't based on popularity, it was made for the purpose of a promo item. Electroplankton will continue to be made so long as demand calls for it, I'd imagine it'll be rare, but not nearly to the point of the Star Fox cart. Also keep in mind Elecktroplankton was sold in stores such as EB Games, it just had to be specially requested, or have some kind of preorders if I recall.

If there's one thing you should look out for, it's Pokemon Box. It was only available at PokemonCenter.com and the Nintendo Store in New York and had an extremely limited production run. Which is a given really considering you can't really call it a game but rather an organizer. Check out one of the current auctions on eBay. $100+ with two days left to bid! I'd imagine that will only increase. Luckily I picked mine up when it was released for $25.
Mostly just play Nintendo 64. If you've got games PM me! Cart only.

Wow...I had no idea Pokemon box was such a hot item.

    I should have bought two.

The reason it is probably a hot item is because, if you store enough characters on Box, they will give you an egg that will hatch a Pokemon with nice moves that it doesn't normally learn (like a Surf Pichu, for instance).
You are startled by a grim snarl. Before you, you see 1 Red dragon. Will your stalwart band choose to (F)ight or (R)un?
