Something NOT really a GAMING item, but RELATED.
While diggin thru my cousins old toys I found this simple bowling game where the pins were hinged onto the lane, and you didn't ROLL the ball down it, the ball had legs and you wound it up, and hope he walked straight enough to knock down the pins properly
Kinda like tho old vibrato football games...
But anyway, the windup bowling ball looks JUST like a Bob-Omb from Super Mario Bros 2, so I added a little fuse to the tope of him and he's my one-of-a-kind Bob-Omb toy!

@autobotracing-I have a couple of videogame paintings my girlfriend has made as well. My favorite is an Intellivision controller, a heart, & an Atari joystick.
@Alex Kidd-That would be Tomy Strollin' Bowling. I used to have a pretty good collection of Tomy white-knob windups at one time. Right now I have Bumblin' Boxing & Goof Around Golf which are similar to the bowling game you described. I'm taking them along with tons of other crap to sell at the Portland Comic Book show this Sunday.

I still have my reply letter from Namco Hometek telling me that I was in the top 20 finalists for a beta tester position. The letter & envelope are dated 1/30/92. Sadly, I never made it beyond the final 20.
I used to have, but somehow lost, my letter from Sega of Japan congratulating me on finding the hidden Space Harrier contest. That's the one that I wish I still had.

-Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Nintendo Cereal Systems cereal boxes. No, the food isn't in there.
-Dragon's Lair... uh... scratch off games I guess they're called. Six cards, all unscratched.
-Sealed box of Nintendo sticker book stickers.
-Dragon's Lair pulltabs. Tabs pulled, sadly.
-Joust 2 promotional flyer.
-Joust Pinball machine. Unworking, but still pretty, and still worth a ton.
-Kings of the Beach beach towel. I got it at a garage sale... saw the Ultra logo and was like "what the fuck?"
To the guy with the beer stien... I've got a bar in my basement now (ironic since my depression medication prevents me from drinking), and I'm trying to get some really nice looking beer steins/mugs, and since the bar shares the basement with my arcade, I think it's really neat. Is there anyway I can get that off you?
BTW, something I was say. I'm a cronic pack-rat. Story goes like this: When I was like nine, my Aunt Dorothy (not really an aunt, just an old lady whom my mom took care of) came down with Althimzers (or however you spell it) and my mom found out that she was the execetor of her estate. Dorothy didn't have any money so my mom had to sell her house. This old three story house that was right next door to the house that was used as Ally Sheedy's home in Short Circuit was a major disaster. Seriously, she had like 20 cats, and had packed that place so tight with stuff that there was no room to walk. She never threw anything away. She had Time and Life magizines stacked as high as she could reach, like 20 piles of them. She had newspapers from when Kennedy was shot, she had figurings, baseball cards, buttons... just pretty... boring stuff for a kid. But some of it was so valuable that it was able to take care of her for one year. Even at nine, I was like... wow, if I save my shit up like this, my kids will be set for life.
So I never threw anything away as a kid. Pissed my parents off a tad, but now I've got so much stuff that's worth a ton of money. And the ironic thing is my wife can't have kids, just like Dorothy. , god giveth and god taketh away. BTW, Dorothy died two years ago. She was 99 years old.
Heh, found a couple more oddballs:
Legendary Axe II coffee mug woot!
sealed box of those Nintendo cards
lots of promo videos for upcoming games, mainly N64 games, a few others though too
My Racoon City Police Badge is my most obscure. Man i love that thing.
I am in fact the guy that made the Raisins prototype worth thousands less by dumping it. "D'oh!!"
I have a promotional PS2 T-shirt. It's very badly made.
Conform. Consume. Obey.
I have:
Frogger 2 promotional sponge
Punch Out!! trash bin
Virtual Boy 3d light thingy
Pac-Man bead spread
Pac-Man ice skates
Mario, Street Fighter 2, and Pac Man luch boxes
Vectrex store display stand
a shelf full of Mario PVC figurines
many video game board games
a fuzzy Pac-Man poster
various other posters, stickers, action figures, etc.
I would have to say my Yar's Revenge album. I have no idea how it sounds since I don't have a record player to try it out on, but its kind of cool anyway.
I'd love to have that Rubik's Cube myself!Originally Posted by Buyatari
