As I recall it was one of those "one move" fighting games. One move worked really well, could get you 3/4 the way through the game, then once it stopped working it was time to put it away. I don't think it was a bad game, just not memorable.
I played it for the Jaguar. It wasn't bad, it was just that there was a LOT that was better than it...

The movie was good, and that's about it.
Even if I go to hell, I will live to the end of this world. And if the world does not come to an end... I will destroy it with my own hands!
I'm in the majority that loved this one. Ok, maybe not loved, but I thought the fighting engine offered a lot of technique, all be it very stiff. It needs a better sense of fluidity, and the meter that determines when you get 'chucks is kinda stupid (so he has them on him the whole fight and doesn't use them?). The multi-player is pretty nice too.
Not a bad game by any means, nice big sprites and some of the background scrolling was somewhat impressive for it's day. EDIT: I was talking about the Jaguar version.
I really enjoyed this game, I rented it long ago when it first hit store shelves. Who knows how old I was then, I'm 23 now.
But anyways. I loved the fact that when you died you would fight the evil spirit and could win your way back into the game. Kinda like in Herc's Adventures. Good stuff.
I Loved the movie, well written and acted in its day, but the game, it was sub par for its time IMO when compared to the greats, but hey I have seen far worse
zomg I have a sig
I have it on the Jaguar ...Its ok, nothing special thats for sure. The control on the Jaguar version isnt too good and its hard to do any sort of special move so the game plays like a standard button masher. I think the difficulty ramps up too quickly in the Jag version though.
You can have my Neo Turfmasters when you pry it from my cold dead lifeless hands !
I've only played the SMS version, which isn't too bad.
I have the Jaguar version. Although the graphics are good the game is very average. I don't hate it but I don't really enjoy it much either.
I also have the SMS version which is completely different. It is a side scrolling platformer/fighter. Good game though, I've gone back to play it quite a few times.
This game is quite ok, but i find it quite hard to play. The fighting engine isnt the best and the enemies block alot of your punches/kicks. Worth checking out tho.
