Default I set the record straight on RBI Baseball on ESPN Radio

I usually listen to ESPN Radio late at night on weekends. The host, Bobby V, gives out links of the day, and one was a recreation of the 1986 World Series Bill Buckner play using RBI Basball. However, he said the game was by Tecmo. I emailed him and set the record straight. Since I'm that loser who tapes his voice said on radio, I thought I'd also be the loser who posts it online. Unfortunately, Garageband decided to cut about half of the response out, but you get the gist.

At least now everybody knows the difference between Tengen and Tecmo

Oh, and the actual link he was referring to is here.

And for more RBI Baseball fun, check out this month's issue of Retrogaming Times Monthly as the NES version was the Tengen game I reviewed this time around! *plug*

Listening in on V. Show as I type. Sadly, my nerdyness also picked up on the fact that RBI Baseball wasn't made by Tecmo, if he would have said Atari or Nintendo I would have let it slide, but he was probably thinking that it was developed by the same peeople that had the sucsessful fully-licensed football game Tecmo Bowl. At least he was right that it was one of the first baseball games to include a full license.

And they just corrected themselves. Congrats for getting it changed boatofcar.

Damn, even the Nintendo version (and edited slightly for commercials and the like) makes me wanna wretch....

And no, I haven't forgiven you, Buckner. (Though you should have been pulled for the bottom of the 10th anyways.)
