Default The Amstrad Mega PC 386 SX System

first: sorry for my bad englisch

Does somebody own this System ?
I have one and i find nothing in the www about it.

I search informations about this amstrad cable and the amstrad cart who allows to connect mega cd.

Has somebody connectet a 32x to it ? does it work ?

Is it easy to replace the System battery ?

There is very little about the system on the web, I remember once I found a German site with a lot of information on it!?

Wait, is there or isn't there Mega CD compatibility in the machine? That'd be rather useful, and that's something the (otherwise mostly superior in build but limited in function) Teradrive didn't have.

Not sure about the MaegaPC, have to open it up and find out. TeraDrvie has an edge connector, on top of unit.

I only own a Sega Multimega, I no nothing about Mega CD connectors whatsoever, sorry.
About the Teradrive edge connector, when I questioned a person about this, I was told 'it's for the Mega CD connection'. Sounds cool enough to me :-)

Okay, I see what you're saying. My guess is that the Teradrive's supposed to slot onto a Mega CD, maybe.

They tend to get anywhere between £10-£100 on eBay, depending on specs (there's also a 486 version), degree of completeness, condition etc.

I've never heard about a MegaCD connecting cable myself.

    Hia,
to Daniel, yes I am German, but I used to live in the UK for 17 years. I paid 80.00 GBP for my Teradrive, which I got from Sega London office (via a dealer) and 40.00 GBP for my Amstrad MegaPC (ebay).
Maybe you can let me know on how to replace the system batterie on the MegaPC, as mine needs replacing too. (Can't even find it)
Funnily enough, the older Teradrive system batterie still works fine. I wish I had some disks and docs to go with it though, especially the duo-mode set-up disks.

Thanks, I would love to replace the battery.
As for docus, I'm looking for original Teradrive documents. Very hard to find, even in Japanese.

Just spotted this MegaPC on eBay, which would appear to include the MegaCD connecting cable & cart:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=8280087050

Might be worth asking the seller for further info?
