Default Downloadable Loco Roco demo for PSP

    http://www.jp.playstation.com/scej/t.../trial_dl.html

Hit one of the Download buttons, and place the EBOOT.PBP file into /PSP/GAME/UCJS10041 on your memory stick.

The catch: you need firmware 2.70 to run it. It's not available on the American PSP web site yet - you have to run Network Update on the PSP itself to download it.

BUT, 2.70 includes Flash Player 6 or something like that, so it might be worth tinkering with.

Sony say not to run the Jap firmware on anything but a Jap PSP. But the temptation to play Loco may prove too great. Might wait for someone else to try it first... don't want to brick my PSP!

Just do Network Update from the PSP itself and it'll probably see the correct update. 2.7 isn't on the US web site yet, but the PSP found it okay by itself.

I quite enjoyed it. The animation is very fluid. The background music has a vocal track, and the orange thing you're controlling is animated so that it's singing along. Ha ha. Control felt a little tricky, but it's probably a matter of getting used to it. Still, it felt like I should have been able to tilt the environment maybe another 10º, and perhaps a bit faster. I'd definitely buy this if it came to the US, and I might import it if it doesn't.

Agreed. I like it how you only have to use the L and R buttons to tilt and make the blob(s) jump. And the circle button to split the blob into two smaller blobs. Very simplistic.
As for the singing blobs, i wonder if we could add our own background music and get them to sing along lol!
So far this game is a breath of fresh air. You don't have to think much and its really good if you're on the go.
I'll be picking this up when its released in June over here in Europe.

On the contrary, there's quite a bit of thinking involved, from what I've seen so far! I still haven't been able to find all 19 of the red flowers, and I was missing one of the tiny blue guys, and some of the flying fruit-like things.

Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.
