all for $20 at a yard sale, i might go back later and get more
I went to roughly 20 yard sales. All I found was an N64 memory card for 50 cents. I took it because I knew I'd be pissed if I wasted all that time for nothing.
Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Number 1 in the 'hood g!
May I ask just what the hell is so embarassing about Ren & Stimpy, Rocko's Modern Life & Ahhh! Real Monsters?Originally Posted by Slate

I found like fifteen copies of this thing. It's a Not For Resale version of Canal+ Premier Manager/Tele+ Premier Manager, a soccer manager simulation game for the PS1 released in Europe. Its item number is SLES-02293 / 0009321.
If anyone wants a copy, PM me... and check my thread at the buying and selling forum for more info.
Not video game related but oh well, the day had started out looking for videogames anyway but no such luck at my neighborhood yard sale, these people had no games at all. But anyway the finds.
2 Billy Joel songbooks(We Didn't Start the Fire + Piano Man) = $2, lady threw in some blacklight-responsive Doors posters too.
At another sale,
5 records = $1
Glass Houses - Billy Joel
Goodbye Yellow Brick Road - Elton John
Don't Shoot Me I'm Just the Piano Player - Elton John
Bobby Vintons Greatest Hits - Bobby Vinton(duh)
God Bless the Flyers - various announcers and staff of the 73-74 Flyers organization(i have been looking for this, as I wanted to listen to it for a while)
Its a darn shame there were no games though, but in all not a bad day, except for when I was riding my bike home carrying all of this stuff and cut the back of my leg, it hurt.

It's been raining pretty much all day here so yard sales didn't pan out. Stopped by a couple of used games stores and got the following:
SNES:
Earthbound
Hurricanes
Both loose.
But on the way home I saw something I wasn't expecting to see and just a block from my house no less:
I was very surpised to see a Countach in my town of only 2 to 3 thousand and let alone just a block from my house. I tried looking for the owner to see if could look at it closer but they weren't around.
We saved some guy's life. Killed some vicious murdering lichs and blew up something big. I'd call that a pretty good night.
I got Tribes Vegeance (PC) for $5.00 at my local half-priced books store today.
Went thriftin' again today, and got some nice stuff for $2 each (unless noted):
Game Gear:
The Majors Pro Baseball - $1
PlayStation (complete):
Intellivision Classic Games - $5
Sega CD (complete):
Midnight Raiders
Stellar Fire
SNES:
Super Mario RPG (YES)
Super Scope 6
Vortex
I also found a Lights Out handheld game for $3.

Just to let you know that in the music forum we have threads for both latest records purchased and latest CDs purchased quite similar to this thread but for music, you should check it out and post there.Originally Posted by DKTheArcadeRat

Zoo Keeper - DS for only £12
Some Competition Pro DS styli, came in a pack of 3 and have a metal body and nicer tip than the official Nintendo ones, only got them because my other styli have dissapeared though.
Shenmue Original Sound Track 2CD - finally got my hands on one of these which isn't a pirate, it even is complete with spin and the little film strip negative! Shame that a non-pirate of the Orchestral sound track went for around double the price recently and i wasn't prepared to pay that much
Shenmue: The Movie Sell Sheet
Bargain at 99cents before delivery and i collect all things Shenmue
Finally, the semester is over, and i was able to come home, and hit some yards sales and Goodwill......
i didnt find anything at any hyard sales, but goodwill made my outing worth it!
Schmidt's Beer lighted sign (works, but i need to remove some paint) - $0.50

INTV Star Wars: ESB (Cart and Box) - $0.50
INTV Dracula (Complete) - $0.50

I'm going to a flea market or two tommorow, so i hope to add some more things to my collection

Just kidding - great finds, though. The Goldeneye 007 is worth $12.00 alone in my opinion. So is Ice Hockey.
I found a few used games that I needed from GameStop and EB:
Avenging Spirit (GB)
Exit (PSP)
Mega Man: Powered Up (PSP)
Destruction Derby (PS1)
My damn-close-to-100%-mint copy of the original NES 101 Top Loader finally arrived. Complete in box, with *all* packaging, manuals, bags, twist ties, you name it. The box shows some incredibly light surface wear, but nothing noticible. The console itself and the hook-ups look like they're literally never been used.
$70 shipped via a TERRIBLY DONE auction on ebay!!! Wrong category, badly misspelled title, zero feedback user. He took a while to ship, but it was absolutely worth the wait. I already have one of these, so I guess this is either to resell on ebay or to a friend in need of a great system.
I also picked up around 50 NES and '80s PC games from this one amazing thrift store in my area for basically nothing (under $1/game), but I need to take some pics and figure out what some of this stuff is (some of the PC games are pretty obscure).

managed a flea market:
SNES system and 1 3rd party controller $4
(not yellowed but hella dirty, cleaning now, works)
NES controller $1
like above, hella dirty, dont know if i can get it clean
Damn I guess Yard sale season is in effect. Look its only the 7th(6th for me) and we are already on page 4.
At garage sales and pawns today.
DVDs
The Life Aquatica $5
The Birds $4
Games
Marvel VS Capcom PS1 - $10
Shining Tears PS2 - $20
Also a box full of 80's rock cassettes for $2. There's about 50 tapes in here but I'll only be keeping 10 or so. The rest got to the thrift store.
Went off to a bunch of stores today. Got some goodies and all that cost a grand total of around $30. It's more money than I've been spending lately but that's about to change. Summer = Beach time, working, & late night video gaming.
What I found at CHKD:
~4ft tall Amy Rose from Sonic. ($7)
Old Gateway 2000 machine that might need a bit of work. ($3)
At a shop up the road a ways:
To complete five of my cart only Genesis games I got some boxes with manuals for $5. The owner of that store is really great.
Another game store FAR away:
They had some nice Saturn games in stock. I've been struggling to find SAT titles in my area so I managed to get:
Resident Evil ($9)
Congo ($3)
Of course both are complete and in great condition, the only way I like buy Saturn games.
At some pawn shop near the beach they didn't have jack for PCs, consules, speakers, nothing! Spent some time looking around and when I wondered to the front counter I realized they had some different stuff in there $1 CD-only game/dvd bin. Finguring through it I managed to pick up these:
Battle Arena Toshinden ($1)
Fatal Fury 3 ($2)
Mega Man X5 ($1)
Now, I do hate to find loose Saturn titles, but sometimes I just have to at least grab it when it's cheap incase I do stumble across a complete with a FUBAR disc. Now, this pawn shop was the same place I found all this last month:
Most are PSX games which I prefer not to have SO many loose (Tis why I requested Cases + Manuals on the trading forum to buy) but since I do play more imporantly than collect, I can play without a case (Although it somewhat strikes a nerve in my head). But hell, you get what you can find!
So ya, that's my finds for the day.
