so did ace combat zero come in a package deal with the flight stick like ace combat 5?
and is a ace combat 5 flight stick package worth $100?

I've not seen any of the Ace Combat 5 sticks in a store in a long time, but then again i've not really heard of a huge demand for them either. Doing a quick glance on ebay is showing them all floating around 100 bucks before shipping so i'd venture a guess that they'd still be worth that.
As far as I know i'd think that it should work just fine since its just a controller and i'm sure that the game would detect it like any other controller.
I've also not seen any Ace Combat: Zero bundles listed on any sites so i'm going to guess no.
Because it makes no attempt to be great, it is therefore extremely great.

Gamestop has ace combat 5 bundle for 69.99. Not bad.

There isn't any any flight stick bundle for Zero in the US, but I'm pretty sure Japan has one. Remember seeing several different colors of it too. The AC5 bundles are still worth around $150-$200 though.
As a side note to the AC fans, Hori is releasing a foot pedal attachment for the flight stick. I forget what the official name of it is on planes, but it moves the tail wing flap of the plane left and right. I already emailed Hori about it but they said 1) it's being sold as a special pre-order item only and won't be sold in stores and 2) it's only available in Japan.
It would be for the 'Pitch and Yaw' on the plane. Glad its not here, since i'd end up buying it and it would sit just as sealed as my Ace Combat 5 is.Originally Posted by norkusa

could buy the greatist hits version of ace combat 5 and play it
used its like $15 at eb i think
They're called rudder pedals (They control the aircraft's rudder). And no, it's not for pitch.
Oopsie... that sounds more right than it did when I posted it last night at midnight.Originally Posted by Leo_Ames

The pedals sound very cool. It is unfortunate that their release will be so limited as I wish I could get them. One of the negatives of the stick is that the yaw control is on the throttle lever and can be tough to reach with short, fat fingers.
I was lucky enough to get the set for $70 at EB and the only other drawbacks are that the cord could be longer and the stick only works for the PS2 Ace Combat games. I didn't expect it to work on the PSOne games, but I was hoping it would at least work with 3. No dice.
On a side note, I find that I like Ace Combat 4 better than 5 or Zero. I guess I am more about clean, no fuss presentation versus extensive story sequences and giving commands to AI helpers. It also feels like it is easier to see what's going on in 4. Might just be me.
Actually, I read that Aero Elite: Combat Academy works perfectly with the flight stick. Never tried my copy though to confirm it. Also think I heard that Lethal Skies 1 & 2 plus Air Force Delta Strike work with it too.Originally Posted by klausien
I did try the stick with Sky Odyssey though but that didn't work. Bummer too since I like that one a lot.
BTW, here's a link to the rudder pedals and new flight sticks in case anyone wants to see them:

I tried Air Force Delta Strike and it didn't work. Forgot to mention that before. Don't have the other ones.
